Excellent food, great ambience, awesome music and very friendly staff, don’t miss it!

We'd booked a table and it was just as well because it was full when we arrived. Tables were still quite well spaced out. The cocktails are mostly lovely (though the chocolate orange has no chocolate in it...). The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful even though it was busy

Nice place, prices have increased since we last came but that was 2 years ago. I ordered fish and chips which was very nice but the portion for the price (13 pounds) in my opinion was reasonably small. Other than that great place, have a pudding, maybe that's the idea 😉

Visited on a Sunday evening, friendly staff and quick service. Food was so tasty and cooked to perfection. Loved the decor. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Easy online booking, lovely building with fabulous architectural features. A good menu with a range of choices for both food and drinks. I went for the locally distilled Carlisle Gin. Friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. Perfect for our family night out after months of restrictions.

Have to admit I was a little disappointed with my experience here. The staff were friendly and service was good. However, the food was very average. Also, we were sat downstairs away from all the other occupied tables so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. It was also cold, we had to put our fleeces on.

10/10! We had a Sunday roast dinner at the weekend and it was the nicest I’ve had in ages. Beautiful! Presentation fab, beef cooked perfect. Everything was perfect. Sticky toffee pudding was beautiful! Love this restaurant.. food is always top class!

We visited here last time we were in Carlisle it was so good we went back to check it out again and weren't disappointed. We had a local guest beer to start, which was really good, and after watching incredibly mouthwatering food pass us by we decided to stay and eat.The food tasted as good as it looked and we enjoyed every second. The place has a great atmosphere, love the paintings and little touches everywhere and I love that it has a history and a story to tell which can still be found if you look for it.... A great place to spend a couple of hours

Me and my partner went to have spontaneous dinner in town so we didnt plan to go to any specific restaurant. We gone through few restaurants but they were full and end up in Thin White Dukes. (We were here few times) as they had space and also we had 5mins to order food as the kitchen was closing. It was fine with us.We both ordered some burgers and extra chips, and let me tell you, the burger was delicious! At first glance you might think "ohhh its not much on the plate" but trust me, you will be full after your course.Big shout out in the kitchen as we ordered just when they were closing in the kitchen and yet food was nice and warm and burger was really well cooked, just the way I like.Staff was amazing also, they were making sure we were ok and despite how busy it was. When it comes to price, it is pretty good. I cannot complain as for the food and drink we had the price was really good. You won't be disappointed.Definitely recommend this place and I cannot wait when they will reopen as I will go back there once again.
