Carvery was lovely but the kids meal of chicken nuggets took an age to come. It was only a plate with 4 nuggets as kids choose their veg etc from the carvery area. The sticky toffee pudding was so dry and tastless that we couldn't eat it. It had a dribble of sauce with it. We commented about it when paying the bill and the waiter just replied that he'd pass it on to the chef. No offer of removing it from our bill. The toilets are also in need of an overhaul. There was flaked paint off the walls and doors and brown smears down the walls on one cubicle in the ladies.

It was exactly what you'd expect from a Toby, so no disappointment there. The meat was a bit fatty, so some got left behind, especially with the roast beef, but all the staff we dealt with were exceptional, especially for 5pm on a Saturday when it was getting busy

The people that worked there were brilliant, but the food was absolutely terrible, mashed potatoes were so lumpy with hard bits, the beef u couldn't even eat it like leather and all dried up, my grandson normally loves pasta and meatballs but he couldn't eat it, it looked awful and the meatballs were like lumps of play dough, so disappointing. It used to be brilliant don't know what's happened.

Staff were lovely but the food was only passable- not worth the price. Paid £5 for a brownie to share and got this, the spoon was bigger...

My 4 year old daughter loves it here. Every member of staff has always made a fuss of her! Nice cosy atmosphere, and the carvery is always a hit with my wee bairn.

never been on a bank holiday before.. ..probably will never go again after yesterday's experience....£4 extra for the same standard meal get normally through the week.. and limited menu...surely trained chefs can cope with a wrap or sandwiches...???

For me to leave a poor review speaks a lot. We were travelling down to Manchester airport for early morning flight and called in for tea - 6 of us bill was approx £70 - typical carvery experience was expected as per the one in Kingston Park near us. Unfortunately this food was just about if not totally inedible - meat just too fatty and only a couple of mouthfuls could be tolerated, veg I think had just been sitting there too long, gravy huge lumps in it. Very greasy smell in the place annoyingly lingered on you. The lady who was serving us was lovely very helpful and polite but that can only go so far. Think I have been put off Sunday dinners for a while now - sorry for bad review but hopefully this will help.

First visit, very busy at 12.40.(not booked) but managed to get a table for 4. Pleasantly surprised, nice choice but self service ,not much good for a disabled person. Although ,maybe the staff would help if needed.

Great experience with good covid practice. My nut allergy was gone through with me on the menu on what to avoid. All the staff and servers were friendly welcoming and professional. Thank you everyone.

Awful food. If you've ever been to a nice Carvery, this place will leave you disappointed. 2 of the 4 meats were completely missing, the 'help yourself' area was a total mess - veg and bits everywhere. The worst thing was the heat though, it was like walking into a sauna being in there. I even saw a guy sat by a window leaning our for some air.
