The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was average and the room was poor. The bed linen was ripped andvtirn. The rooms look tired and need redecorating to a higher standard that matches the potential that this hotel has for its location, size and price paid.

Just naff really, dated rooms, inattentive staff, breakfast was horrid buffet but they serve you so stingy as possible. Whole place felt like it was being run on a shoe string budget. Travelodge is better! Disappointing

Not bad…Stayed one night and found this to be quite a pleasant and comfortable hotel. The downsides we found were - firstly, little to no soundproofing in the walls (which meant that people in neighbouring rooms using the bathroom etc were unavoidable to hear) and secondly a lack of comfortable pillows (two soft pillows were provided for two of us, unfortunately the staff weren’t able to find any additional pillows to try to give us a comfortable nights sleep, but, they did improvise and bring some cushions for us instead - not an ideal option but at least they tried to help). The plus points were that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable (other than the pillow situation), the food was very nice and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly. A major benefit is that the hotel is dog friendly throughout.Overall, it was not a perfect night, but, the hotel definitely has a lot of potential and a lot of benefits; the helpful staff and warm atmosphere are definitely superior to other hotels in the area; I would happily stay again.

Stayed here for 3 nights with our small dog. Rooms are clean and pretty if a little small. What is outstanding are the people who work here. Jake is EXCELLENT! Looked after us sooo well with great friendly banter. Sam was on his first day and looked like he had been there forever; sure he will be a real asset to the team. Reception staff also fab. One thing I really didn't like though was the very large monitor on reception desk that blocks your view of the friendly staff as you enter... you should change the angle.. its a blocker. But overall an excellent experience at a very dog friendly hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay for our wedding anniversary. Great location and friendly staff at reception.Very small room, but was great and no major issues. Just the toilet seat was loose and not staying upright at times.Wife was woken as she could here staff making noise very early morning, from outside near the garden area, but nothing major or for long.We will be back, hopefully soon.

This place is perfectly situated for a walk into Alderley edge town. The decor and sophistication level are perfect.Worth paying that little extra for a suite on the top floor. Well equipped and so cosy.I could actually live here LOL

I had my surprise 40th here which Lucy helped organise with my husband. She did a fantastic job with the room and food. But to top it off Lorna and Jordan absolutely made my night. They were professional but also made sure I was having an amazing night, which I couldn’t have done if it wasn’t for the both of them especially when Lorna reminded me how to do the macarena!! (It’s been a while) Thank you for a memorable nightSally Eyre x

Restaurant was lovely, food delicious and staff polite and attentive. Communal areas of hotel are well decorated and maintained. However, there was confusion over our booking and price discrepancies (price originally quoted prior was not what we ended up paying) Room was smaller than expected, mattress is VERY firm so not a good night's sleep at all. Small details such as a broken light and a very dirty light switch was off putting.

Nice place but didn't get much sleep. The floor boards were creaking the sound from other rooms was terrible. We were woke the 1st night at 5am by doors slamming constantly which I can only assume was staff. Tried to have a nap that same afternoon but was woken by staff chattering very loudly outside the door. I went out to see who it was and they were very apologetic. To be far they probably didn't realise I was in the room. Our last night we were again woke up at 2am in the morning by party goers. They had a wedding reception there so probably people from there. The staff should maybe ensure that noise is kept to a minimum after 12 in respect of other guests. Our room was a standard room which was very compact. It was very clean though, couldn't fault the cleanliness at all. The window (sash window) wouldn't stay open so we found it quite stuffy.Check in wasn't great as we had already paid online but they tried to charge us again!Check out they said we owed for a breakfast but we had already paid for that on arrival.Breakfast was really nice with a good choice of both hot and cold food.We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that but it seemed quite busy. The bar area and restaurant is very nice.Overall a bit disappointed as it was our 24th wedding anniversary weekend that my husband had booked and paid for in advance. So to be asked again to pay was embarrassing. We are both shattered now through lack of sleep so glad to get home for a rest.Shame nice place but wouldn't go again.

The Sunday roast was drowning in gravy. Decent Yorkshire pudding, but quickly made soggy by the gallon of gravy. Boiled and roast potatoes, except the roast potatoes weren't in any way crispy on the outside. Not many vegetables to speak of; some overly sweetened red cabbage and undercooked mange tout. The beef was tender if not a little fatty. It was £18.95 for two courses, so not terribly expensive for the area, but not exactly great value for what came out.The dining room and bar area decor is a bit confused with zebra and leopard print chairs, faux ancient stone work and mismatched dangling lampshades. The service wasn't bad, the staff were very friendly and nice. But attention to detail was missing, like not taking menus away and spraying empty adjacent tables with disinfectant while you're eating. The bottom line is that it's worth popping in for a drink and I might go back for food at some point in the future, but I'll not be in a hurry to do so.
