Well where do I start. If I were you I would visit here for drinks only. After you can get over the staff who believe they are far superior to any other human . The grounds and pub it’s self are lovely. Do not order the Sunday roast which is extremely over priced at £17.95 and then charge extra for cauliflower cheese £3.95. My family of. 4 went here today . It was a special birthday and I thought it would be as nice as the swan with two necks .. oh no way . As we were seated the table next to us refused to pay and returned their food. We then eventually received ours and it was stone cold. Over cooked pan fried beef the roast potatoes were still hard in the middle it was a complete joke . I brought it to the attention of the staff who like I said thought. They were a bit superior and me a stupid customer as they tried to give my wife the wrong dish , we obviously know what we ordered. As this was happening the table behind also called the duty manager to them to say the food was cold. Not enjoyable at all a completely over rated place. Although they did offer us another warm dish they take to long to cook it . They did refund the food but we left with having no dinner and a very very sour experience especially for my daughter who’s birthday it was ..but the staff are almost Rude with this false sense of we are the best. .. very very upsetting guys

Lovely food, very tasty and well presented!I had the duck pancake starter, good portion. Came as a whole leg with 3 pancakes.Main, I had the gammon which was a D Cut gammon - came with pineapple and a poached egg. The pineapple was not cooked, it was fresh which didn't taste bad, but wasn't quite as soft as it would've been if it was grilled / cooked to some extent, but still nice.Wife had a Chicken, bacon and leek pie which gutted me as it was a good sized portion. I went gammon thinking the pie would be small, but it certainly wasn't. I tasted it, came with a rosemary sauce and was really nice! Wish I'd had that!Great service, very attentive!Only criticism is the service was very fast. We had 2 courses and we were in and out, literally back in the car in 50 minutes. Just felt a bit like they wanted the table back. Personally, I like things to feel more relaxed and a wait between courses, felt like starter plates went and mains arrived. It was busy too, so surprised at the speed of service.Great if you're in a rush get your PJ's on I guess 🛌

Visited today. And wife and I both had the Crispy Belly Pork and gratain potatoes with black pudding. And it was absolutely fantastic. Ben who served us was very polite and friendly and efficient . And is a credit to the establishment.

Visited here Easter Sunday lovely open outdoor space we popped for drinks ended up having some lunch. Surprised they wasn’t overly busy with it being Easter Sunday. Lots of dogs outside with owners…. Rated only 3/5 as food was just ok standard I had the fish & chips and wasn’t the best. Batter to crispy to the point I couldn’t eat any. Only a little fish inside. Pea purée was tasteless . Tartar sauce was very nice. Stayed around 1.5 hours. Staff was all pleasant and smiling.

Went to the Board Head on Sunday night. We did book the tipi but due to the wind we’re advised to stay inside, my suggest for this would to not have the option to book the tipi on days they can not let customers in it as I was quite excited for it. However, the glass room we were put into was gorgeous! The food was so yummy, we do not have one bad thing to say about it! I especially have to mention the duck starter which was delicious. Would definitely come here again. Staff were extremely friendly and service was great.

1st time at the Boars head, Nantwich.Very impressed.Polite and attentive staff, very clean and well maintained. I noticed the staff helping an elderly lady and even though it was there busier time of the week, they seemed like they had all the time in the world for the lady. The ambience was great, the drinks were spot on and the food, oh the food....Very very good.Cannot recommend this venue highly enough.Good job and thank you

Recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint. Table service, prompt, friendly and professional. Good selection of food but not too much to overwhelm. We ordered the olive tapenade, sausage and mash and the haddock goujons. Excellent food, very high quality and excellent service. We sat outside in the sunshine, there is a paved terrace, lawn seating and a wooden tepee type building. Very picturesque. Beautiful and will definitely go again. Highly recommended.
