The welcome is warm and friendly. The service is impeccable and the selection of food is varied, interesting and well priced. The food is beautifully cooked and presented well and any variation requested to the menu is catered for easily and without question. The whole experience is excellent, relaxed and the timing of service is perfect. The staff are busy and attentive and nothing is too much trouble to ensure that every visit is enjoyable.

Took my Dad for his birthday today. We were greeted by a lovely lady with a big smile and gentleman with an equally big smile as we walked in. They took our drinks order and then picked out a nice bright place by the window. Very well looked after and the food was wonderful. My Dad really enjoyed it so needless to say we will be back.

If you are looking for a hidden gem then look no further.I had the pleasure of dining here yesterday, the pub itself is full of charm and character and has a wonderful ambiance.The menu leaves you spoilt for choice, as we went later to avoid the lunchtime rush there were a few things not available but that shows how popular the place is.The food itself was beautifully presented, I’m not a fan of food served on a board but all was forgiven after the first mouthful. Simply delicious.The manageress was charming as was our waitress Samantha, who introduced herself on our arrival and gave excellent service.I’m so looking forward to visiting again.AMAZINGDavid Hitches

A really nice atmosphere although it has been very quiet on both of our recent visits which is a shame. The staff are good though one waitress in particular stands out as being especially genuinely friendly. The menu although varied is lacking like most places in vegan options disappointingly however the chocolate torte is amazing 😋

Staff were really friendly, food was really nice, reasonably priced.Little things, I had to ask for additional drinks instead of being offered and my son wished he had broccoli on his roast dinner.Would definitely come back!

Went in here last night and the kebab was superb ! The decor and the atmosphere is very very nice - a “proper pub” I would say and the setting is idyllic! Will be back again when I’m in the area !

Nice pub in lovely Goostrey. Visited on a Sunday evening. It was fairly busy when we arrived but were happy to wait though had to eventually ask for menus and a drink. Menu choice and food were good but were left with uncleared plates for 20 minutes. It wasn't busy by this time and this lack of service put us off staying for dessert.

Fantastic Mother’s Day meal , great service and lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were so helpful. We will definitely be returning again.

Went for a Sunday roast, ordered the beef. The veg, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and potatoes were really, good but the beef was not so great. Very chewy and overdone. Sadly at 2.30 it was the only option left of the day and we may have had better luck with another dish. Service was friendly but seemed unbothered.
