Lovely pub with lovely atmosphere. Food was great today as always. I love the pate. My friend had the new watermelon and feta salad, which she said was fantastic. The staff are really nice, especially Kiara who is very friendly and willing to help, always buzzing about ensuring her customers are happy. Freya was also very nice and friendly. Will be coming here again very soon.

Lovely quaint hotel. Rooms are small and could do with more shelf space in the bathroom. However, the beds were really comfy and meant a great night's sleep. Didn't eat here, but can recommend the bar for a few drinks. Staff lovely and friendly, especially Hannah at the front desk. Disappointed though that the bar was closed so early, even to guests of the hotel (big loss of revenue I'd say!) Will definitely stay here again on future visits to my family. Great value for money.

Sampled the specials here on Saturday, delicious. Our server was so friendly (can’t remember her name, sorry!) great selection of gin cocktails too, specially the blood orange spritz 🍹 Look forward to coming again when in the area

Found that there was a good atmosphere in the pub, it had been a few years since I last visited and the interior is much improved. They have a good selection of beers available and whilst the menu is not massive, it does have something to suit most tastes and found the dishes we ordered to be very good. Also found the staff to be excellent, I will be visiting again

Nice food friendly staff rooms basic but clean was put off a bit as they allow dogs in the pub

Had a great stay. It's true what that say the further north you go the friendlier people get. All of the staff, from the hotel to the bar and the restaurant could not do enough to make us feel welcome. The food was tasty and filling. The room had a massive comfatable bed. The bathroom was a little on the small side with everything being crammed in. Not bad but there was a little road noise. A big choice at breakfast with omelette and full English worth a special call out.

Brilliant Brilliant BrilliantThis is the 4th/5th Green King Pub we've stayed at... The Staff are always warm and welcoming. The Room was spacious and had what we required... And was quiet!Highley recommended to stay for a meal, excellent choice, in fact spoilt for choice. And a delight not to be "Peel & Ping"The Breakfast had once again a very good choice advised to arrive earlyish as it gets busy 09:00 onto 10:00. But the staff covered admirallyI would like to THANK THE STAFF for a lovely reception, service & diligence to their role HIGHLY APPRECIATEDThe photos are of the 3 sea food meal... Sea Troat, Mussels & Scallops with Bubble & Squeak... Lemon tart with Raspberrys..... Lemon Sorbet.... Then an English Breakfast

Went recently with my wife and son and all enjoyed our meals. I went for the very nice 'Signature Hunter's Chicken' but the steak pie also looked very good. All served by the friendly and attentive Caitlin and Gill.Would happily recommend!

Visited 16/07/2021This was the first time visiting De Trafford Arms, I had been to a Chef and Brewer before and this place was around the same size, the menu I expected to be the same but it had slightly changed - I assume because of the season.Me and my Mum are both Vegetarians and even though there are a lot of dessert options suitable there was only a couple of main options that we didn't fancy, we normally fall on to the Mushroom Stilton on Sourbread dish but this has now changed to Garlic Mushroom on Crumpet with a Mustard Stick. (See photo) in my opinion this is just a very stranged mixed dish, the Crumpet itself wasn't overly hot and the Mustard Stick just made it look weird.... It was ok to eat but nothing to write home about. The chips were hot, the Caramalised Onion, Tomoto, Feta Tart was freezing - I am assuming Tarts are served this way but it would have been 100 times better if it had been hot or even Luke warm.My Dad had Cod and chips and he said it was very hot and it was a nice portion size. For dessert we had Bakewell Tart and Custard which was BEAUTIFUL!! The best part of the whole visit. My Dad had Millionaire Cheesecake and Ice cream which he also enjoyed. The member of staff was very nice, she read out all of the ice cream options as well and she was very pleasant. The place itself is nice, we felt like it was very clean and there were lots of Hand Sanitiser Stations etc. The toilets were also very clean!Would come back again but I do wish there were more Vegetarian options or better Starters 😄
