Massive! Whole large chicken for 2. Massive Yorkshire's, great gravy. Nicely cooked veg. Loads of roast potatoes. Large portion of ice cream. Will be visiting again.

Great little secret pub, off the main drag in alderley edge. Great food and beer selection, and large outdoor garden with a massive covered area for those not so sunny days!

I really like this pub, it somehow feels old fashioned whilst providing modern standards of service, which is an appealing mix. The food is decent value and a nice beer in front of the log burner is very welcome. You also need to chat with the Assistant Manager, what a real character. Also has a nice beer garden and lawns, great for kids

Fantastic little pub situated behind the huddle and bustle of Alderley Edge. Patio area, picnic benches on the grass area so kids can have freedom but still in sight.We only had starters here but they were well presented, priced well and delicious. The reason for 4 stars is staff attentiveness. Glasses not being removed from table and food menus not given when requested.

Many years since we were last here. It has been tastefully decorated and redesigned. Lovely and varied outside eating areas, good food. So lovely to return and fine it so well looked after and very smart.

Went for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day. Staff very friendly and food was delicious. Would highly recommend and will be back next time we are in the Manchester area. Well done to the staff who always had a smile and time to speak even though they were extremely busy.

Another good local pub which is well frequented by locals and does a solid job of serving decent, if not amazing, beer. Nice large venue with big outdoor area

Always enjoyed the quality of the fish and chips but not today. Opted for the small portions and they were smaller than normal. The chips skinner than previously and the fish had an after taste. Well below par. Put us off going again. We go about 6/7 times a year

It was our first visit to this lovely pub. We had our dog with us and he was along with us given a warm welcome from the staff. Excellent food and service. The syrup sponge and custard was delicious!! Looking forward to our next visit to this delightful pub.

When we visited on Sunday it was really busy and crowded. It doesn’t feel relaxed. We both had the roast and it is very lacking. The Yorkshire puddings look great but they are dry and flaky, the veg/sides with the roast are limited and poor. If you want a good Sunday roast, I wouldn’t recommend going here
