How far menu's fall, thought we would give the Ego another go after my last review regarding the new menuSorry to say tonight was awful, we both had the pizza, I had 3 prawns on mine, karen had 2, 5 slices of mushroom, hardly any cheese, chorizo 6 tiny pieces that you needed a magnification devious to see it, tasteless, my god pick your game up £72 bill, 2 pizzas plus 2 sides, bottle of wine, 3 beers, your having a laugh, we will not be wasting our hard earnt cash on this tasteless menu

We both had a Sunday roast on our visit, a rump of lamb and one beef and it was faultless. Both starters were really good as well. Nice place, very pleasant and attentive staff and pretty good value. Would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be going back.

Food very good, but more expensive than it should be compared to similar ‘restaurants’. Staff lovely, but just not enough of them so meal took ages and we ended up skipping desserts as we didn’t want to wait another age to get them.Also, bug bear of mine: narrow parking spaces makes it difficult to get kids and elderly people out of cars.

Gorgeous food yet again, especially the mushroom starter 😍

First visit and I was very impressed. The draught beer was very morish the menu was diverse and well priced. Everyone in our group found the food really and well cooked and very tasty. We ate at 5.30 and 2 hours was plenty. Service was excellent. We will be returning especially as we found out that they have live music a little later in the evening.

I has a quite spectacular experience! My husband took me for my birthday dinner. I had a entire vegan meal and it was to die for! The service was on point and the ambiance was homey, comfortable and beautiful! I loved it!

Nice place with plenty of parking space and tasty food. We were a party of 15 people so booked couple of tables few days beforehand and gave the list of menu items we needed to save the time of waiting for the food. The staff were friendly and professional. But some how they messed up my order and I had to wait for my steak and ale pie, while others all got their ordered main meals. Other than that bad experience, happy with the service.

I've been here twice in as many weeks and I've got to say it is absolutely fantastic. Great food and exceptional service. A couple of weeks ago myself and my partner came for date night and the food was amazing and staff attentive. Today we were there for a not so wonderful occasion (a wake) the spread they put on was fantastic, they looked after us all and made the celebration of a great man to happen in comfort with the area we were in being a lovely space away from the other customers. Top marks thank you 😊 pictures attached are of the steak I enjoyed on date night 😁
