Had our wedding at The Plough. From first visiting all the way through to the end of the day itself the wedding team were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, and Paige & Molly on the day were outstanding. Beautiful barn room with a private garden. The food was to die for! Overall a fantastic experience and they really made our day special. Thank you to all the team!

Five of us, in ages ranging from 91 to 13 years, enjoyed a superb lunch today. The menu selection good, the staff attentive and table very comfortable. Pricing was very fair given the high quality of food and expertise of cooking.

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Food is gorgeous, with really friendly staff. The menu caters for all tastes and is certainly varied. Well worth a visit for lunch, dinner or even a stop over. I will definitely go back.

Nice little gastro pub. Low beamed ceilings and small little snugs make it homely and gives a nice atmosphere when busy, yet still manages a degree of intimacy to when dining. The food was good and the price was fairly typical. With friendly staff and a selection of ales on offer it seems to tick most be boxes

I love this friendly Inn. Both the food and accommodation are good and not at all pretentious. Neither the rooms nor food are 5-star, but that's not what The Plough is all about. The rooms are comfortable and homely. The food is wholesome, reasonably-priced, and served by great staff.

Attended a wedding and everything was perfect. The venue was beautiful with a lovely atmosphere, the staff were efficient and friendly. The food was lovely and the bedroom was so comfy. We will definitely book again for a stay over.

My partner and I booked spontaneously booked to stay here just before New Years Eve. We booked a bed and breakfast rate, and were allocated into Room 8 (lower level). The room was spacious, with a double bed and en-suite bathroom (bath and shower). However there were a fair few noticeable cobwebs around the room, including in the bedside lampshades. There was a wedding going on inside the hotel, but as the rooms are in a separate building, we didn’t have any issues with noise. We paid for an evening meal in the restaurant, and luckily had booked a table as the restaurant was very busy. The service we received was very friendly and attentive. We both enjoyed our food; the butternut squash and spinach wellington for my partner and I went for a halloumi and mushroom burger. We then shared a delightful sticky toffee pudding with ice cream (no custard available). We were first down for breakfast in the morning. There were a selection of cereals, yogurts and juices to choose from. We were then handed a menu to order something hot, and our tea and coffee order was taken. Again great service was received from staff.Overall a pleasant stay.

Been a couple times leading up to our wedding day, the food and service was always great and the staff were really good with our son who was 5 at time. Our wedding day was perfect and everyone said how lovely the food was. The staff were so good with all the children there too. We stayed in the bridal suite which was gorgeous, and our family whom were staying in all the other rooms commented on how nice they were. Can’t fault it, can’t wait to visit again

It’s a great place to eat, turkey sandwich and beef pie 🥧😋 absolutely delicious, the gravy stunning, chips were golden, crunchy, chunky tasty. My sandwich came with skinny fries and some creamy salad that I didn’t enjoy but the whole experience was with lots of flavor, romantic vintage English vibe, that was my favorite part 😉, staff kind and friendly, restrooms CLEAN & tidy! Gorgeous and beautiful village. I saw other peoples dishes, they looked fantastic. Oh!!! Mull wine 🍷 tasty, tasty, the best one. Prices are moderate.

3 of us went to The Plough for Christmas Day. The Barn was so festive, it made us feel so Christmasy. The staff were extremely attentive and couldn’t do enough, even allowing us plenty of time between courses. The food, as always ( we visit The Plough regularly) was a very very high standard. We will definitely book again for next Christmas, that’s if they are not fully booked. We have been trying for 3 years to book The Plough for Christmas Day Lunch.A massive thank you to all involved in making our day very special.
