We have always been really happy with the food from Golden Phoenix, but I am frustrated and angry with the service we have received tonight! We ordered the salt and pepper box, as we have frequently before. As you go through the online ordering system you get a box asking which sauce. I selected curry. I then get a box giving options mild, medium, spicy or extra spicy. I selected spicy. When the food came it was so spicy it was completely inedible! We rang to query it, and we’re told we had ordered the spicy box. No, we told them, we had ordered the spicy curry sauce. The lady on the phone refused to listen, insisting it was my fault, then hung up on me. I checked back on the website, definitely spicy curry sauce (see top line on image below). We went to leave feedback, she has now blocked us!! I would understand if we were rude or confrontational on the phone, but we were genuinely trying to understand why the food was so different to normal. We definitely will not be ordering from there again!!!!

Ordered a salt and pepper box and they forgot to bring the prawn crackers once again so I rang them and they said that they wouldn’t come back out just to deliver prawn crackers that they forgot to bring 🤬fuming

Waited 2hrs for the food to arrive, finally turned up, not hot, just barley warm, one of the dishes missing, rang to ask where the dish was?? And told repeatedly it was there?? Then the phone line went dead (cut off) . Phoned 5 plus times.... won't pick up? A complete waste of time and money. 👎👎🤮

Ordered a takeaway last night and the chow mein was not fit for my dog. I was truly disappointed with it for the money I paid. Won't be going back there for certain.

Absoute waste of time. App says delivered and no food. Expecting full refund but not holding my breath as they cannot even answer the phone

1 hour 45 mins for delivery, no one answering the phone to ask about delivery..... Food good though so will probably use in the week but never at the weekend again

Ordered nearly 2 hours ago. Was told via the website 55 mins.... Still no food. 21 phone calls and still yet to answer..... awful!!! Steer Clear!!!!

Been ordering from here for a while, and have always been happy with the food and service. Ordered a couple of weeks ago however and was extremely disappointed with the delivery. Our order came without chips and curry sauce so we rang up and they brought the chips back out 45 minutes later and the curry sauce was still missing. Driver said he would speak to his manager but we heard nothing afterwards so won’t be ordering from here again.

Placed an order through their website at 8pm, delivery was supposed to be 55 minutes. At quarter past 9 I tried phoning the golden phoenix 10 calls later they finally answer, didn't really know what was happening eventually got told 5 minutes. It was dropped at the door and the driver was back at his car by the time I opened the door. Bbq spare ribs special chow mein and a bottle of diet Pepsi was ordered the food was just warm and the bottle of pop was swapped for 2 cans of Pepsi max and 2 Pepsi max cherry flavour, we don't even like cherry flavour.DEFINITELY NOT USING THIS CHINESE AGAIN
