A beautiful gem of a pub, the food was fabulous, the service was fabulous and the chaps behind the bar were super friendly and chatty. Would highly recommend this place for a cosy relaxing meal and a couple of drinks!

Absolutely wonderful. Really lovely spot. Friendly service. Fresh tasty food. Fantastic building. Made us and my six year old feel very welcome. Sensible kids menu is smaller versions of adult meals identified by asterisk. Not a nugget in sight!

Went walking with a group of friends and found this pub. Good food, good and friendly service in a lovely setting. We didn't try the alcohol as we were only half way round and needed a clear head to complete the walk but recommend this place. We were seated outside and the staff immediately lit the outside heaters so definitely thoughtful staff.

We went today with our two children for some food soon as we entered the establishment it had a musky smell we then got given some menus which did not match the ones on their website which was a disappointment to us , I had a meatball ciabatta , when it arrived I cut into one of the meatballs Wich to my disgust looked frozen and processed, my partner had the steak and cheese panini , the steak had a funky smell to it and the cheese tasted almost sour, the bartender was very friendly but seemed timid and awkward overall would not recommend .

What a welcoming pub. Good food, extensive menu at very reasonable prices. All staff very friendly and attentive , nothing to much trouble.

Nice setting in a rural location and if you can walk to it, that is all the better due to limited parking. The pub looks nice and cosy and has a nice sized garden with a huge marquee to sit under for your meal. They have done well for social distancing incorporating a one way system but this did have some drawbacks.A) Being one way system you have to queue with non booked guests to be seated which can cause you to be late for your seating.B) if you need to go to the toilet, etc you have to follow the one way system.C) Even when pay at end of meal you have to follow one way system, they don't bring bill to you.ServiceWe were originally seated and drinks ordered and when they arrived we asked for a few more minutes to decide. It was over an hour later after managing to get attention of someone that an order for our mains was taken. We weren't told that they were long delays for food orders to be completed, yet table next to us was who had only recently arrived and placed order straight after us.The service was mixed between guests with some staff saying they can't touch the drinks or plates, while others just served as normal, so a bit confusing. After our mains we were never provided with a desert menu or even asked if we wanted any. In fact after they took our main course plates they just left you alone.FoodThis arrived 40 minutes after ordering and was well presented, but that's where it ended. The Spicy Chicken Fillet without salad that was ordered arrived with salad. The Sirloin Steak was cold, bland and grey. No colour to it, no flavour and no heat. You also did not get a choice of sauces you would usually get when ordering a steak. No steak knife was also provided, so had to use a blunt knife to cut the meat. The plate was hotter than the steak and the chips were extremely hot.BillWe found that on paying the bill, other customers drinks, etc that they had ordered had been added to our bill. This was rectified but surely, you would expect them to know which table was which.OverallWe didn't complain during the meal due to the length of time it took them to serve us and provide our main course and didn't want to wait another 40 minutes for it to be redone correctly.Even though this placed looked welcoming and they have put measures in place to protect staff and customers to a degree, due to the service we received I would not visit them again if I was in the area in the future. Also don't get this pub confused with The Harrington Arms which is just down on the main road at Bosley, even though owned by the same company.
