Apart from our room looking a little tired (but we did have a dog and the common parts of the hotel looked as if they had been decorated) we had a great couple of days. The staff were great, very professional and friendly, the restaurant service was excellent and the quality of food was 1st class. Myself and my wife would definitely use the hotel again.Well done Hollin House Hotel

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Hollin house and it was truly a beautiful day. Sophie was fantastic with dealing with any worries or questions we had. We were listened to, reassured and able to make the day truly special and unique to us.The food was great, the venue is beautiful and all the staff were so kind and helpful.Thank you Hollin house hotel for making our wedding so memorable and lovely. x

Stayed for one night with two dogs for a quiet getaway. Great location for walkers as well as visiting Macclesfield.Staff were lovely and welcoming, they made special arrangements for my dogs raw food to be stored in a fridge. Nothing was too much bother.Ate in the restaurant for evening meal and had breakfast in the morning. Lovely food for a good price (£25 for two courses, £31 for three). Breakfast was substantial and the hotel allowed us to have breakfast after the allocated times due to a wedding party staying.I would definitely stay again!

It's an ageing hotel & the maintenance is poor but, the staff are very polite, apart from the young barman whom embarrassed us all by having a rant, when we asked for a drink at last orders, even though I'd politely stood at the for around 18 minutes. Plus the bar prices are colossal, £33 for 4x drinks, is very expensive!! The rooms & fixtures look tied, but it was nice & clean, good shower, large bed & good food, the breakfast was lovely...

Avoid this hotel if you can! Don’t be fooled by the pictures it is nothing like it … the room they put is in was dirty mouldy out dated cold and had some very strange looking stains over all the furniture we lasted 4 hours and checked out and stayed else where! The bar staff where lovely and the receptionist but the restaurant staff where rude and gave us 1 hour to eat before kicking us out food wasn’t anything to rave about with 5 things on the menu! Save your money and stay elsewhere

Attended for christmas lunch with 10 other members of the family. The presentation of the tables was lovely, the staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was great, a nice relaxing day made to feel very welcome. No hesitation in booking again. A lovely touch for the kids was a Santa visit with a gift for each child after the meal.

Room was extremely basic but didn't pay much so wasn't expecting much.Cushion on the bed was full of stains.Been to eat here twice before and always had fabulous food but this time was different. Dreadful menu choice and food was awful. I didn't eat my starter or main course. Breakfast was awful too. No menu, no choice. Had to ask for bread to toast and juice everything was empty.Had to wait to check out as no staff on reception. Place was under staffed and definitely cutting corners. Such a shame as it used to be really nice.

The good bitsLovely food in the restaurant and all the staff were lovely and helpful.Breakfast was nice and did veggie option if you asked.Bad bitsNo heating all our stay ( but staff got us a portable heater)Rooms a bit tired especially the beds very hard and lumpy and pillows also were hard and lumpy.Bar prices a bit steep eg £ 5.75 for a lager shandy. But we had a lovely stay, would I come back maybe.

I read some of the bad reviews and admittedly was a little nervous - but I was so pleasantly surprised! The factor that reallyMakes this hotel is its staff, couldn’t do enough for us, so polite, happy, cheery, just lovely. Our childcare fell through last minute (was meant to be a romantic get away for my fiancé and I) but they accommodated her completely free of charge! She had her breakfast and dinner for free. The staff are absolute gems all so polite, lovely, caring. They make you feel at home. food DIVINE! Really delicious and a lovely relaxing vibe in the evening at the restaurant.in some of the bad reviews there was a lot of talk of it being outdated - some of the corridors could do with a spruce but it’s nothing that affected our stay. The room was clean and tidy. Bed was massive which was lucky as our daughter was in with us. Grounds stunning. Will be coming back :)
