Great pub, nice cosy atmosphere, good choice of drinks & food..

Nice friendly pub on a quiet road, everyone was cheery enough, although it helped being Christmas Day. Would visit again.

Been visiting this pub on and off for the last 50 years, or so. Great local pub, always offers a warm and friendly welcome.

First visit. Very friendly. Was even greeted by the dog

Rang up to book and the manager who I presumed I was speaking to was so rude and arrogant. Definitely wouldn't advise going here! Not welcoming in the slightest. Stay awayAlso more than happy for you to pass my name on. You can paint yourself out to be nicer than you was but you were rude and had no customer service skills what so ever. I definitely wouldn't go anywhere that treats people the way you did over phone.

Other places were overcrowded and we didn't feel safe. The Horse and Jockey manage Covid19 perfectly and you feel really protected. The staff are brilliant and the prices reasonable.

I have started coming here lately, and the staff are really friendly and welcoming especially one in particular Chloe, she always lifts my mood. They do a mean pork pie I would recommend that if you come here, they are really addictive so be careful haha.. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing and I would recommend coming here :), Charlie is a big fan of the pork pies too!

What a perfect Christmas lunch served to us by the lovely bunch at horse and jockey! Our tables were set so festively...even including a christmas-cracker dog chew for all the dogs!!

Really friendly landlord, cosy atmosphere, good choice of wine and gin. Had a pop up hog roast bank holiday Sunday, it was fantastic! I believe they are going to do this every bank holiday Sunday! Massive thumbs up...

Great new landlord and landlady met some great people. Have had Sunday lunch a couple of times now would recommend a try.Very warm and friendly place.As myself and husband have just moved into the area we've been made very welcome.It is also child friendly my grandchildren love going when they come to visit.Great job Paul
