Leather's Smithy in Cheshire East

I had the absolute pleasure to visit Leather's Smithy in the beautiful little village of Langley today.The Leather's Smithy is a gorgeous family-owned pub and serves great food at a very reasonable price.The location is great and there is a good amount of parking on site.Pictured: Haloumi Starter, Salt and Pepper Squid and the Steak Burger.John, the owner, is great and adds the personal touch to your visit.All in all, the Leather's Smithy is absolutely a must-visit location if you are anywhere near Macclesfield or Buxton.

Noticed breakfast was now being served at this pub so decided to pop over Sunday morning before my walk. Wow, what a fabulous breakfast, it was delicious. Top quality bacon and sausage, beautiful cooked so fresh. Great service super friendly and a overall great experience. I will most certainly be going back. Really recommend 5 stars

Happened upon this gem totally by chance after a walk around Maccelsfield forest. Popped in for a sandwich but my stomach was diverted by another tables fish and chips which looked to die for. Best decision ever. Possibly the best fish and chips I have ever eaten, up there with the Magpie in Whitby and the Vine in Dunham. We will be back with friends next time.

Food was ok, needs a little work on presention, the pub was busy with the lunchtime rush. Front of house very friendly nice beer

We called in after going for a walk with friends and the in laws dog. Managed to get a table and decided to eat, what a wise decision. Firstly the staff are all fantastic (the chef sneaking a sausage for the dog). The food was fantastic. I had the roast pork and it was the best I have had in ages. So tasty. Fine selection of beers. I had one from the Wincle brewery that was gorgeous. Spoke to the landlord who says the meat is locally sourced.I cannot wait to go back. I would certainly recommend the pub to anyone.Thanks again.

Lovey country pub food was excellent and my friends & I enjoyed a good lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Great area for walker's then pop in for a pint. What more do you want. 👍

Very popular pub overlooking Ridgegate reservoir on the edge of Macclesfield Forest. The pub is clearly very popular for food & looks like booking probably essential. As a walker bewarned the pub is small & tight and concentrates on tables for food. Therefore I would recommend looking at the rear beer garden & shelter.The choice of cask beer razorback & salopian gold on visit were in superb form

Lovely cozy traditional pub with a warm welcome and great food! Mixed group of veggies, vegans and carnivores but all really happy with their choices. Not a huge menu but this was more than made up for by the quality of the dishes we chose. The landlord even kindly allowed us to stay overnight in our camper in the car park! I would highly recommend a visit to this gem of a pub with fantastic views across Macc Forest and the picturesque reservoirs.

plenty outdoor seats at rare.staffs are friendly, food are tasty. we arrived 1:25am after hiking.A pleasant place to have drinks and food, the surrounding scenery is beautiful. The quality of meals is good
