Amazing food and atmosphere

Four of us enjoyed a delightful, varied lunch at Lilac Cottage on Sunday. We ordered a range of dishes, including a vegetarian paella to share. Every dish was full of flavour. I particularly enjoyed my pork belly and my chilli garlic prawns.The service was excellent and we will certainly be back.

Visited last year, everything was delicious, couldn't fault the place. My return visit last week was the complete opposite. Dishes only tapas size. Not last time good portions then. The prawn kebabs this time were ridiculously tiny in comparison to before. 6 pieces of Calamari 2 small kebabs tapas sze rice 3 soft drinks and a coffee. £40!!! Not a garnish in sight 😒😒

We came on Sunday 6 of us the standard of service and food was absolutely fantastic we all had a really fantastic afternoon and we will all certainly ne returning ❤️

Sadly went to celebrate my daughters Birthday. There were about 13 of us... Food was good, serving staff great...But unfortunately from the start to the end of our 2 hour slot... we were reminded that we must leave at 7! We knew this... but it was quite frustrating being told over & over. We asked to speak to the manager... Wow! Disgusting attitude! He raised his voice over my husbands... Very bad management! We spent a fortune! Will definitely not recommend or return!

We had the most fabulous meal at Lilac Cottage in Prestbury on Saturday evening. Friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious tapas. We’ll be coming again very soon.

Amazing restaurant, beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and we got a tour of the lovely secret garden area too!Lovely family atmosphere, the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was quick. Would recommend!

I had takeaways from the Lilac Cottage before, but this was the first time in the restaurant. The food we had delivered was always good so it was interesting to see if there was a difference. There was a difference, being fresh out of the kitchen the food was even better! I also found the service to be solid and the staff were friendly and easy to interact with. There was one minor issue, but it was a genuine misunderstanding and was handled very professionally. I will definately be back again

Had a nice meal last night, was a little disappointed as booked table in the 'secret garden' room, but didn't expect it to be enclosed within tarpe, so ruined the ambiance. I'm sure we could have asked to move. The food was very nice but did all come very quickly, we did want to order some more tapas, but then the staff disappeared, and by the time they did show we had 'passed' the urge, as we wanted some bread to dip up sauces and padron peppers, we'd forgot to order. Such a shame, although did notice very busy in the main room. Was all done within an hour. Hopefully we will try again another time.

Chicken Sizzler, mushrooms And garlic bread Honestly I work away for a living and eat out every night but it’s up there with the best I’ve ever had, and probably the nicest for a long time anyway, it was just so perfectly cooked honestly hats off to the chef, Nice place too lads are sound it’s only me in here gone at 17:00 it’s in between sittings, so can’t comment on the atmosphere, but sat in a nice outdoor area it’s nice enough
