Lion and swan hotel in Cheshire East

We were looking for property in the area and decided to stay here. This was my second visit but a first for my wife. We were surprised to find that they had some dog friendly rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive, rooms were excellent clean and well equipped. Breakfast is cooked to order and was lovely. We couldn't have wished for more.

went in the pub lounge today for lunch, the food was so nice and hot. flavours was stunning. service was spot on and we even had a second drink because they came and asked us. It means alot to us when they take the time to come over, shows they are focused and know what's happening in the restaurant. Will definitely recommend and defiantly take friends there.

Had a ‘Full Leone’ breakfast here this morning, which was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Well cooked and not greasy. First time since it has re opened, and it is a lovely modern, chilled vibe. Love the interior, will definitely have to return for a few drinks in the evening.

Had lunch in the restaurant- staff amazing - friendly along side excellent service 👌 however food a little disappointing - starter was very tasty but such a small portion? Main course overpriced - and didn't arrive as described on the menu ? And then couldn't have the desert we wanted - not enough made was the reason ? The desert we did have was however very nice. So overall a lovely beautifully designed venue - great staff but let down with the food and price

Tip top!!! We had such a lovely evening. Booked the hotel as an anniversary treat and from the 1st moment stepping into the hotel we got a wonderful reception and good feel for the place. We then wen to the bar which was just so relaxed and welcoming and the wine was top notch at perfect temperature etc. onwards to the Leonie Restaurant and oh my word; food was sensational!!!!!! Service from all staff with a specific nod to Dean was impeccable!!!! Had such a laugh when appropriate but then left to enjoy meal for perfect amount of time etc.To visit Congleton and not experience what we have would be tragic. HIGHLY recommend this 3 in 1 hotel, bar and restaurant. Soooooo enjoyable!!!!!

We had a great meal last night at the L&S. The food was fantastic as was the service with very attentive staff. Now for the negatives. Myself and my wife were sat on a table for 2 but we were very close to the other tables either side of us. There was only enough room to get out. I felt it was very cramped and was akin to a cafe not a top range eatery. The portion sizes I found were a little small compared to other places that we've eaten. Now the final and biggest negative.....the mark up on the wine. We paid £33 for a bottle of white wine that retails at £9.99 so a massive 230% uplift. I'm sorry but that's just greedy. Would we return? Possibly but with Wild & Wild (vegan) just down the road we'd probably go back there where the prices and portion sizes are spot on

Great venue, great cocktails, overpriced food. Whilst food was acceptable, for the prices charged you'd expect a little more in terms of quality, especially so given the portion sizes. On the plus side the cocktails were great and the venue itself is very nice.

Great Sunday lunch. Lovely venue, good service, and plenty of good quality food. The live music and busy dining room made for a great atmosphere.My only niggle would be about the wine list. Uninspiring choices at hefty prices for what they were. Would rather pay a bit more for some decent quality, and more adventurous, wines.

I found the dining area by the open kitchen a bit 'canteen-y' to be honest and the music was unsettling, certainly not adding anything positive to our experience.That said, the food was really good, the service was perfectly attentive and efficient and the dessert, a smashing finale. I'd definitely return, but would rather avoid the 'canteen end' if possible next time.

Food was lovely and then venue is impressive.My only comment would be that we had to wait for service longer than I would've expected.The staff were great and very helpful; there just weren't enough of them. They were rushed off their feet and so that impacted on wait times.
