Love this place, I drop in after a few hours fishing on the local canal in winter. Perfect way to defrost next to the fire.Its a very "local " pub for local people and there's an awesome friendly vibe every time where everyone knows each other, bar staff are super friendly and welcoming which is nice.I wish I lived closer as I'd love to drop in here of an evening and enjoy a few drinks by the fire amidst the banter the locals have until closing time!Dogs are welcome and I believe they do food too. We'll be calling up soon for a canal walk with pups and hopefully something good to eat afterwards!A lovely pub off the beaten track well worth a visit if you're rambling around the area 👍👍👍

Lovely food had a light bite steak ciabatta, good choice of drinks. Only problem was that it was very cold in there had to keep coat on.

We stopped here for lunch while on a day hire narrow boat. The lunch and ales were very good with a good varied selection. All in all, a great stop off point. Highly recommended.

Really sad and disappointed with the experience today. The food was over priced, below average and took over an hour to arrive despite the place being extremely quiet. The cleanliness of the restaurant and toilets again were below average. It's a real shame as the quality and atmosphere use to be excellent and now it has no identity or soul. News travels fast in the area so I hope management decide to focus on improvements for a prosperous future. Unfortunately we won't be going back any time soon as there are currently so many better options nearby.

Sat under the canopy in the garden now with family and friends, always enjoy walking here and having something to eat and drink. Once again we've chosen the light bite option, which represent great value for money - ignore what anyone else might say. If you want more food surely you don't choose a "light bite".The steak sandwich was really tender, which is unusual as most steak sandwiches I have had come quite dry and overcooked. The mustard mayo with the steak was just right, the chips were lovely and the salad was fresh. Others in our group had the chicken and halloumi options, and all agree they were really tasty and good value for money.The children wolfed down their goujons, chips and peas/beans - I always think that if they eat without complaint then you are on to a winner!Just eating our desserts now - the honeycomb ice cream is a great way to finish, but the cheesecake is particularly enjoyable.All in all, a great place to come and eat, drink and be with friends and family.

Just popped in this evening for a swift half, but decided to stop for a bite to eat. 2 portions of Wagyu burger and chips later, very satisfied customers! Early Thursday evening, not empty but plenty of tables (no need to book). We chose to sit outside. Prompt service. All the usual Covid safety stuff in place.

Came to the miners arms with a couple of friends & the manager and staff were really lovely and polite. Food service very fast & food in general was amazing with a big sized portion for a kids meal. Overall a good experience, will definitely be returning.

Honestly the best Chicken & Chips I have ever eaten. And that spicy sauce WOW! what ever is in that please tell me! It was yummy! Lovely ambiance in the outside area under the tents. Can imagine it has a great vibe at the weekends so we will certainly be back. QR codes to order is super easy too, food and drinks ordered and delivered no issues. Thank you!
