Nags Head in Cheshire East

Was pleased Nags Head remained open but not pleased with what they have done with it. Gone is the indoor saddle seats, lovely Garden seating, lovely dining room and upmarket feel. In with cheap seating indoors and out, very very noisy dining area music blasting above hard wood talking, cheap printed basic Menu and no Sunday Roast, as advertised. Couldnt wait to leave. Needs restoring back to where it was , tosurvive.

Can highly recommend Sunday lunch at this fabulous pub . Excellent roast mutton and roast beef . Also the mini roast was ideal for my elderly mother . Friendly and professional staff with good service . Worth a drive to the Nags Head

You know a pub is good when you go on Rightmove on the way home to look at houses for sale nearby!We visited today and had a gorgeous three course meal. We had the specials for starters and then we had the roast cauliflower and the pork chop for main, followed by delicious desserts.The service was excellent, friendly staff who really looked after us. The pub itself is beautiful and so are its gardens.We’re already planning our return!

We've been keeping an eye on the Nags head since it closed a couple of years ago ? I was cycling past last week and was pleased to find it is now open again. Sadly since it closed I've been ill with a heart condition and can now not consume alcohol. Fortunately the Nags head serves a selection of none alcoholic beers as well as many locally produced beers and real ales. A lot of the original interior in the older part of the pub still exists, then there's a newer dining area to the rear of the original building. Although this part is new it still appears to be old having been constructed with old wooden beams and features. The Nags head looks to be back, hopefully for many years to come.

Went to the nags head last night as a family of 4. Visited many times before under different ownerships so really looking forward to it. On entering served by a pleasant informative lady behind the bar.It went downhill from there.4 meals ordered Pork chop was sent back inedible full of fat and tough replaced with crab on sourdough no taste of any crab Steak was ok 2 burgers well bellow average 1chips ok 1 overcooked ordered 2 beers which never came had to ask for them.The manageress apologised and took the pork chop off the bill said the two beers would be removed and the service charge (which is discretionary anyway) the new bill came with the beers still on. Lovely setting for a drink stay clear of the food.wouldn’t normally write an in depth review but the manageress would Benefit from a customer care course.

Lovely food, and the service was great. The waiting on staff made us feel very welcome, went with my mum and dad for their 40th anniversary and the barmaid bought them a drink each which was a really nice thing to do. The restaurant is big but you're not crammed in, the view is really nice in a rural setting. I was informed the beer was very good by my dad! Will be going again, well worth the visit.

Could not recommend this place enough. Recently been renovated and under new management which is clear to see they are doing a great job. Service was excellent and food was lovely. Would highly recommend the seafood sharing plate to start - amazing! Decor was lovely and the bar area is dog friendly with a beautiful beer garden. We will definitely be back!

Had lunch here today with friends. We were made to feel very welcome and not at all rushed. Service (by Milly) was excellent, attentive but not over the top and the food was delicious ,especially the hand made truffles with our coffees. Will definitely return again.
