Had Sunday lunch. Absolutely gorgeous. 2 courses for 11pound. Everything cooked fresh & home made.

Food ok ordered the meals in writing ,everyone ones choice starters,main meal,and sweet 8 days before the date and informed on the night some starters,main meals,and sweet could not be served because they didn't have it in ,so some had to reorder and they got that wrong, food comming in that had not been ordered and one person had not received the main meal when the sweet had been served it was to say a bit chaotic ,same with the drinks order wrong drink or no drink

This is a great canalside pub. Friendly staff, great beer, food and accommodation if you need to stop off before starting on a canal journey with the nearby Andersens boatyard. Food served until 6pm. Website suggests breakfast available, but sadly not when we visited. Dog friendly, offered treats when we entered.Clean and well maintained, interesting pictures and history.Will definitely visit if in the area again.

Great food, great price, lovely pub. Recommend to all canal boating visitors. Real value for money, and just a short walk into the town.

Just been for gorgeous Sunday dinner . 2 courses for 10.00 . Absolute bargain. Will definitely be back x all homemade and fresh. Cant beat it x

Excellent Sunday lunch. 2 courses for £10. You get an awful lot on your plate. Fresh vegetables. Will definitely go back when in the area. Hosts couldn't be more helpful.

Was staying in room above a basic twin room old décor but great stay. Pub is nice quiet with friendly staff. Recommend the food

Sunday lunch was beautiful. Couldn't ask for any better and at £10 for 2 courses was a real bargain. Staff lovely and friendly.

After our epic canal boat holiday we fancied a meal out. Followed the sign from the canal moorings and checked out Google ratings which were good. We weren't disappointed, all 4 meals were enjoyable with hearty portions and very reasonable. Lots of attention to Covid safety, hope this place survives.
