Very cosy pub, very friendly staff and regulars. Enjoyable evenings with friends.

Doing some coach driving at Colshaw Hall, a Christmas event I decided to walk to the closest pub on Google maps and arrived hereLovely little pub, had the beautiful steak and kidney pie chips veg and lots of gravy really really nice, but be aware...they only serve food until 8....very attentive staff too a nice lady who looked after me as I was a bit of a saddo having a romantic meal for one lol....thank you

Thank you we popped in on the off chance of getting table for 3 and we were waited on immediately food was delicious, great value for money.

This is a traditional pub which has not been spoiled by modernisation. Step back in time and enjoy good meal portions with a fine pint of Sam Smith's bitter etc. Reasonable garden facilities and easy parking. Friendly staff.

Best Sunday dinner around. My absolute favourite. Original decor inside and a good sized garden. Dog friendly

Food was good priced, but not very good. Fish was watery, chips are homemade, but more like wedges than chips. And whatever lager they have on tap, was not good at all.That said, it is a nice little cosy pub, and everyone is friendly, sadly, food wasn't to my taste. I would recommend going, hopefully the other dishes are nicer.

Good old fashioned pub. Went after a walk and the portions are great for post walk warm up. I heard another customer asking whether that was the half portion as it was so big. It really was the half. My wife had the 3 bean chilli and loved it. I had cheese and pickle butty with chips. Awesome. Good tea and coffee as well. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Lovely cosy pub. This place is a very old county pub the food here for Quality Quantity & price is amazing. You will not leave here hungry. The beer is also kind to the wallet. If you need to find somewhere where's cheap value for money & tastes great you need to try here. It is also a dog friendly pub. We have now had the Sunday Roast & now tried the beef pie both meals were great!! It does get very busy so booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
