PizzaExpress Wilmslow in Cheshire East

Really looked forward to our ‘date night’ cinema at The Rex followed by Pizza at what used to be such a fantastic restaurant, at Pizza Express... Not anymore 😔Staff were lovely and couldn't fault them but the place looks really tired and dated and the (what I later discovered) proving bags looked AWFUL😳I realised, when I asked for the Pandana, that all they do in the kitchen is slop a load of pre-prepared filling on the pizzas and bake🤷 as they’d RUN OUT of caramelised onion😳😳😳!The menu was soooooo reduced from our previous visits, there wasn’t anything I fancied. The waitress said other people had had the Padana and seemed to enjoy it... so I ordered it...It wasn't nice without the camaralised onion as it was quite a strong goat’s cheese, so I dudn’t enjoy it.My husband really enjoyed his pizza, but thought the price of the tiny tins of IPA was ridiculously expensive 😳Sadly, I don't think we'll be coming again😔

We had a lovely time. The food was delicious, puds scrumptious and our waiter was very efficient.

Love it here. Fantastic service.

It was better tonight than some previous visits. Food was excellent and tasted very fresh. The staff were very good, courteous and attentive.

Nice staff food as usual friendly and good to see Grandma and Grandad out with the kids. Oldies like Pizzas too

Lovely birthday meal this week at pizza express. Wait staff were kind and efficient and the food was delicious. We had a great time, thank you.

Very nice place, well-situated with plenty of parking across the road at the supermarket carpal. Great food, reasonable prices and good service. What is there not to like..?!

We visited just after restaurants were allowed to re-open for outdoor eating / drinking. Staff did a great job and even phoned the day before to say we can bring blankets along as it may be a bit chilly in the evening! Overall service spot on and food was the usual great standard 👍🏽

We walked in from the humid August heat into a cool, air conditioned, peaceful setting. The service was great and very helpful and the surroundings were classy and relaxing. Our kids really enjoyed their dough balls, pizza and ice cream. Our pizza was delicious, proper Italian-style.If we were to give five stars then perhaps a wider range of desserts would be good. We weren't planning to get dessert but nothing there really interested us anyway.

Walked in to the restaurant to be ignored by the staff. After waiting for 5 minutes to be seated, we decided to just find our own table. Waited another 5 minutes for someone to bring us our menus. Very soon after they took our drinks order, then food order. Starter (sharer plate) was very nice and the wait wasn't too bad. It took some time for someone to come and remove the plate. Another OK wait for 2 of the main courses, but we were at least half way through them before the remaining main arrived. Food was OK. Plates were eventually cleared & desserts ordered. They arrived quickly and were fine. Had to speak to 3 members of staff to get the bill brought to us (around 15 minute wait) then half way through paying, the team member disappeared for another 5 minutes. Bill was incorrect on 3 occasions. Not a good experience at all and I will not be returning to that branch. The staff could maybe do with attending other branches for training!
