Always amazing food and service every time we go

Lovely place amazing food. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The mushroom stroganoff was so tasty. Will definitely be back.

Mouth watering steak perfectly cooked and so tender. The tempura prawns were also delicious.A wide selection of gins, wines and liqueurs available with detailed descriptions and ideal pairing with tonic or alternative.Will definitely be going back.Service was very good and the staff were attentive.Looking forward to booking a follow up reservation.

White bait huge an chicken wings were more like ostrich wings.Lemonade was out of a warm plastic bottle which had lost its fizz.Delivery man turned up during our meal an plonked deliveries on a table. This was at 7.00 pm. Steak was chewy an chips undercooked.Like sitting in someone's front roomMusic was awful an no atmosphere.Won't return

We had a great evening here but a few too many mistakes on the food to recommend a visit.Chips were undercooked, steak overcooked (medium-well when ordered medium-rare) and everything needed more seasoning. A real shame as quite basic mistakes let it down.Atmosphere was great (including a 90s classics soundtrack!) and the drinks were varied and reasonably priced.

Couldn't fault a thing. Beautiful steak and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Fabulous.

I wish I had discovered this place sooner. I finally went to The Porterhous on 04/08/2020 for the first time after driving past it many, many times. What a great little place ! Both my husband and I were very impressed with the whole experience. The food was absolutely delicious, seasoning and spices were spot on and the portions were very generous. In fact, I decided I would most certainly visit again before I had even finished my starter. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a cut of steak I hadn't heard of before on the menu, however the server who took the order made me feel so comfortable that I had no hesitation in asking what it was. She took the trouble of asking the chef exactly what it was and then came and told me. I had the salt and pepper shredded chicken strips, followed by the rump steak. I can highly recommend both dishes. The only fault I could find about the whole night was that I was too full for any pudding. Maybe next time. This was one of those occasions were my husband and I just liked everything about the place, even down to having very nice glasses for our drinks. Very highly recommended and no hesitation in giving 5 stars.

Top place for steak ! Very reasonable and cozy , love the shed head beer and I could eat a bucket of the spicy prawn starter ... Yummy !!!

The food here is always top notch and with good service too. The early bird menu is great value and a good way to try the place out if you want to. If you really want to treat yourself order the Porterhouse steak. Delicious and not often offered at other steakhouses
