Great pub to visit with or without family. Great play area for the children, great food and drinks at amazing value and all staff are very friendly. New management has made a massive difference to the vibe and feel of the pub.One of the nicest in the area, would recommend it anyone and after the first visit, it will become a regular.

Staff were fantastic. Welcomed us and the dog on the way back from wales camping. Can not thank the staff enough but the food was a fair bit disappointingI had the chicken burger. Mrs had the lasagne which she didn't enjoy either. Bit of a shame or would have. Give. It top marks

Never used to expect much from here. Its always been fairly solid. Decent customer service. Came in tonight. Now staff which seemed extremely dis-interested. Kids meal fries were absolutely sopping in salt, got told that's how they are pre cooked, but you could shake the salt off so obviously done after. Not good for a 15 month old. Thought it would of been a nice treat but we can't give her that much salt.I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and this was way off the mark. Overpriced food and extremely low quality. Attitude from some of the staff was terrible too.We did get some knocked off the bill but for the quality of food and service that was probably still overpriced

Fantastic helpful and friendly staff. Great speedy service. How ever I took my Mum out for a treat as she's been poorly.She had a roast dinner and roast beef was too tough to eat . My veggie Sunday dinner was great

This pub used to be really good, went first at the start of 2021 when the rules changed so you could eat outside. Staff were nice and the meal was really great and affordable. In September 2021 we started going the pub quiz here which we attended nearly every week, we really enjoyed it and it became a part of our week and for someone who suffers with social anxiety it was a nice way to get out and interact with people. January this year the management changed and I started to notice a decline in customer service and that some of the staff were not the same as before and then they cancelled the quiz with no explanation on their Facebook page or website. Won’t be coming here again unless they bring back the quiz and I’m sure some of the other teams probably feel the same, such a shame as this pub had a nice atmosphere to it 😞

Been here a few times initially very impressed but the last couple of times found the service not very good food was cold, and Sunday lunch no potatoes served and when asked a member of staff we were asked had we looked properly under meat etc!! Bought a dish of potatoes eventually but food was going cold quickly, a lovely place but the person in charge was quite flippant about serving u, so will not be hurrying back, we had a three course meal and not very attentive staff throughout dirty but good money I will pay all day for good four and good service but this was not thank you

What a little gem.LOVELY range of draft ales etc.Food REALLY quick.I popped in on Thursday lunchtime.Busy. Service spot on.The Pedigree and Hob Goblin ales were absolutely perfect. Well kept cellar.A joy in these difficult times.Thank you.

Thank god for Arthur, he saved the review by asking and caring on the way out. Stopped off for an EV charge as there is a quick charger 22kW 44mph (card behind bar). Welcomed in and seated quickly, needed toilet and asked for a menu, sat down for 10 mins the went to find a menu, and ask for a drink, sat down again and waited for the drink whist choosing a snack from the Limited menu. The BBQ chicken and cheese melt sandwich looked good with salad. 15 mins later a tiny burned sandwich with limp salad arrived (photos attached). Arthur was run off his feet and Limited support, more staff required! I had to collect the Bill, But he did ask if it was OK and I did say it was poor so he apologised and knocked off 20%. Not that busy and should have been a 5 star experience with the ambiance and service, maybe next time?

Lunched here today, we were seated immediately, given menus and ordered drinks, which arrived quickly. Took a while for our food order to be taken, once they knew we had to be in Chester in the afternoon the food was served very quickly, and was very tasty. Dessert was served as soon as we'd finished our mains, which is worth a visit just for that! Eager to please friendly staff. Recommend! :-)

Fabulous Lunchtime mocktails served here, just what's needed on a hot sunny July afternoon. The food was great it was served promptly and a delicious chocolate pudding for dessert all for under £15. I'm looking forward to my next visit already!
