We come all the way from Oxford to visit this place. The food is always delicious and fresh, the staff are so friendly and kind and they genuinely care about their business and customers. We’ve had many takeaways from here - always hot and tasty. Dining in is also a good option, especially on Thursdays and Sundays when it’s banquet night (great value formoney). Since moving away, we have tried several Indian takeaways and no where comes close to Shamoli. Best fragrant pilau rice around, naans are fantastic, chips are crispy and hot and the curries are always excellent. They really do have a fantastic chef. I couldn’t rate this place highly enough!

What a wonderful experience we had, really enjoyed the excellent service, the quality of mains and starters were exceptional. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Two male staff members who attended to us, one who was management were amazing and knowledgeable with their advice on food choice for middle eastern customers. The barman who came a little later looked after us for most of the time with drinks top up etc and asking if we needed more of anything. The owner friendly manner and conversation made us feel ever so welcome and special. It was a special day which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended to anybody who would like excellent service and quality food experience. Would like to return in the future. A huge thankyou to all staff there.

For me (and the family) this is the best Indian restaurant in town. Don't be fooled by the small size of the place. And if you like a fairly spicy dish, go for the North Indian garlic chilli chicken. It's incredible!

Our family have been going to Shamoli for many years. It’s simply the best in Knutsford. The food is fabulous and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Any takeaways we have had elsewhere are compared unfavourably to Shamoli’s. We always order a takeaway from Shamoli when we get back from holiday. Chicken korma, tandoori king prawn and chicken rogan josh are our favourites

10/10. Lamb rogan josh and chicken pakora should earn this place a Michelin star. A little expensive, but when you walk out the place with a leftovers bag of 10/10 food, you think this is a bargain.

Blown away by the meal we had last night. Vegetable Karachi absolutely amazing and the chapati to die for. We were fully accommodated as vegans, food was explained to us in detail and it was delicious. Staff were helpful and lovely. Thank you.

I go out for a curry with a few friends regularly and we try and discover somewhere new each time. This place really impressed all of us - the food tasted really good and the portions were generous. The restaurant itself was rather small and being downstairs with no windows had the potential to feel cramped but they tried to create a modern atmosphere. Traditional Indian music played in the background but it wasn't too loud and my friends and I could chat comfortably. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive. We will definitely go back here!

I have been here 3 times now and although my family regard it very highly I consider it a reasonable averageService is good and prices are fair and everything is fine, but I have consistently received large chunks of very dry chicken in my curries which I don't enjoy.The biryani was dry too and the sauces, although perfectly fine, are a bit formulaic
