Good pub and beer. Brilliant staff. Shame about the lack of food and the toilets would not look out of place in Trainspotting, featuring Obiwan Kenobie

Some of the food is ok but don't order the lasagne. Full of grease and honestly tasted like a frozen mess from Aldi. Garlic bread was full of oil which means a soggy mess. They allow dogs in and tbh there was a lot of them which ruined the atmosphere with dogs barking every minute.

Great food, cosy and friendly staff nice and quiet with a good lunch menu.

Tried their curry night. Fantastic choice of curries. Food was great, poppadoms with mango chutney, curry with rice and naan bread.

Recently booked an overnight stay at the Angel. Nice clean room with a jolly greeting from the staff. Breakfast was served via a basket left at the door the night before. Breakfast included cereal with milk in a cooler box a few pastries and fruit.A good range of drinks in the bar and a good atmosphere.

We have been coming here for a while but this time the food was bland. I had fish finger sandwich with tartar sauce but there was no tartar sauce on it. My son had macaroni cheese and there didn't seem to be any cheese in the dish. My husband had a burger and he said that was nice Maybe just an off day as food is usually OK.

Nice enough pub. Welcoming staff. Food is reasonably priced but could be improved upon. Chips a little stale.

Excellent service from the barman/waiter - food was excellent - reasonably priced and very tasty.Lovely old building that’s full of character - well worth a visit.

Nice little pub for the whole "weatherspoons" experience, for lack of better words. Cheap food, cheap drinks, and nice staff. Can't really go wrong.
