Where is The Cheshire Cat?
🏠 26 Welsh Row, Nantwich CW5 5ED
"Originally built in the early 17th century, the building has been restored to enhance and restore many of its original features and is today a stunning hotel, restaurant and bar in the heart of Cheshire. Our restaurant serves everyone’s favourite, seasonal dishes with a contemporary menu produced by our Head Chef and his food loving team. The Cheshire Cat provides the perfect setting for morning coffees, light lunches and afternoon teas or evening drinks – whilst our eleven rooms offer relaxed accommodation in stunning surroundings. COVID-19 Update - we also have an outdoor seating area for food and drinks."

Sunday lunch. We always enjoyed Sunday lunch here but it's got even better. Thank you, looking forward to coming again 😊

Decided to go here for a Valentine’s Day lunch, We waited 20 mins just to get a drinks order taken, we then waited 45mins for a salad, then when the large table next to us, who had arrived after us, got their meals (coincidently immediately after placing another drinks order!) we left. Really bad service with very little care.

Stayed overnight. Had dinner and breakfast as well as drinks at night. The building is lovely however lack of staffing is a huge issue. We were told no room to book for dinner but were able to book online.Food was fine but slow. Breakfast didn't go well . They need to consider whether offering rooms when so understaffed is good policy. They need to tighten up their booking systems. No management of parking, public using car park and going shopping so no availability for patrons, needs some kind of system, so we had to pay for parking in the public car park next door. Staff complaining throughout, of lack of staff, stressed, rushed and visibly upset. People texting in sick. Huge queues for drinks most of the night costing 20 pounds for two. Blockages in toilets, broken locks and seats. Needs a clean desperately. Glasses piled up. Assistant manager at night was absolutely working her socks off. Top Managers don't seem to be working at night to support staff. They got 3 stars because the staff they did have tried so hard. And would assume that once they have decent management the service could be much better. We've stayed in hotels throughout the pandemic for work and this was the worst run ,am not entirely sure if this is a recent issue so left 3 stars .

Had to wait a while for our meal but it was worth the wait. Good produce cooked with care. Presentation excellent. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Went for breakfast here. Waited 45 minutes for sausages that were tough as rubber, Rock hard bacon, toast was also hard and most of our breakfasts were cold on arrival. The premises was nice and clean.

Not bad there, could do with a good clean, be nice to see out the windows, food was OK, nothing to shout about. Staff where friendly enough, and we where sat down and served promptly. I can't see any reason to go back really.

Went for a family meal after a visit to Chester Zoo. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, food was excellent, lovely atmosphere with a real fire. Very memorable meal. Thank you.

Went in at 5pm. Beer was good. Service a little slow as only one member of staff behind the bar when we arrived. After 10 minutes or so another joined them.
