Lovely staff and a welcoming open fire

I visited the pub yesterday. We were a group 7. the food was absolutely amazing. several of the party had roast dinners which were fantastic. personally i had Chris’s home made steak pie. It was the best steak pie i’ve had in ages. we will definitely be eating there again. Great friendly service as usual.

Good food, good beer, good prices and nice staff, nice pub after a walk

We went for a works Christmas outing the food was excellent the party had various different starters ,mains and desserts ,each course was served with presion timing ,staff were efficient friendly nothing was too much trouble ,wouldn't hesitate in going again ,oh and a disco thrown in to finish the night off 😀

Thank you to the barman who made our first visit here a warm and welcoming one, especially for our beagle who was spoilt rotten sure he will be dragging us back in soon for more biscuits .all the best for Christmas and the new year nb Leo and crew 🐕‍ 🚢🦆.

Discovered this pub due to overnight stay in a local cottage.The pub is quite small however ample seating areas and plenty of outdoor seating too.The staff was very friendly and the guy kept coming out to see if we were okay and if we needed any more drinks. Great service.The food took awhile come, however it was well worth the wait, very delicious and juicy too.The drinks and the food is very reasonably priced.If I am ever in the area again, will be visiting again.
