food was good and price was value for money but customer service clearly isn't something the staff are trained in. The woman with long dark hair that served us seemed more interested in wanting to sit down and talk about love island than service with a smile. When asked if we could have the 2 sides with the meal deal in separate pots, the woman looked at us as if we had 2 heads and said because it was a meal deal and so 'cheap' that they had to be on the food. I mean who wants their gravy and curry mixed together?? When she could tell we weren't happy about this she preceded to say it still had to go on the food. This is ridiculous and I've never been a chip shop before where asking for a side on the SIDE isn't possible. If food wasn't good then this would've been 1 star. It's safe to say your award winning title isn't in customer service, will be sticking to coral reef in Nantwich next time.

Best fish and chip shop around in Crewe.Never been here before but this will be our first choice next time.The 'mini' fish meal was lovely, fresh crispy batter on the fish, lovely chips and gravy too. Nothing is sat in the warmers piled up like other places, everything is cooked fresh when ordered.The staff are polite and the woman behind the counter even entertained my son whilst waiting and he was throwing questions lol.Well priced, good quality.... can't complain about anything....Worth a try 😀

The worst chippy i have ever visited i just knew it was going to be a bad experience because the last time we visited there my son was sick everywhere and as for it saying fresh chips they might have been fresh a week before!!! The chips were like scraps and the fish was the most greasiest thing my son has ever eaten how the hell this chippy has won awards i will never know honestly never ever again the 1st time my son was sick everywhere i just put it down to a bug or somet but when we tried that same chippy again last night the exact same thing happened again it was definitely the grease and scrappy chips that have caused him to be sick if i could rate no stars i certainly would trust me i just wish i would have taken pictures of the greasy fish and scrappy chips so everyone could have judged themselves (The plastic carrier bag the greasy food came in looked more appetising honestly) AVOID AT ALL COSTS we only used this 1 as a emergency as the other chippy we normally use was shut NEVER EVER AGAIN and you must have printed your own AWARDS off the pc because no way did you get it for that disgusting food!!!

Been here a few times.Staff have no manners. Absolutely disgusting attitude to customers. Overpriced spud shop. Quality not worth it. Thought it might just be an off day for them but no same as the last two visits..never again.

Best fish n chips in Crewe as far as I'm concerned! The mini fish meal is gorgeous, but I'd hardly call it mini!

Visited for some lunch and had homemade steak and ale pie which looked lovely but sadly wasn't all that . It was more like beef and onion because of the vast amount of onion it contained,there was a lot of meat but was quite tough and chewy . I also bought a can of coke very warm and when I asked if they had any cold one was told they hadn't which I thought was poor because I hadn't got a drink

The fish was amazing. Best I've had in a long time. Unfortunately on this visit (at least for my palate) the chips were slightly undercooked. But happy to go back again for another go. The home made pies look scrumptious.

Fantastic food! Ordered on the app, was ready when I arrived, hot and tasted fantastic.

The important point about The Fish Bar is that it serves tasty, well cooked fish and chips and other foods that are on its menu. I think its image is a little dated with key advertising refering to awards won over a decade ago. The premises is clean but reaching the stage that a few repairs etc would brighten it up. However remember times are tough and the food served is very good.
