The Flower Pot in Cheshire East
Where is The Flower Pot?
š 1 Congleton Rd, Macclesfield SK11 7UF
"A warm welcome awaits all at the Flower Pot. Weāre known in Macclesfield as a family-friendly pub with a brilliant drinks range and huge beer garden (also known as āThe Beachā to our locals). From our recently-refurbished bar and restaurant area, weāre serving a menu full of the best pub classics, all homemade by our great team. Whether youāre looking for a place to enjoy dinner or youāre after a light lunch, our menu is perfect no matter the occasion. When the sun comes out, our beer garden is the place to be. We have one of the biggest in Macclesfield, a wonderful place to meet with friends and soak up the sunshine with a tipple from our bar."

The Food was absolutely gorgeous. We went on a Sunday so I had a beef roast dinner and for dessert a chocolate torte. We did have a bit of a wait with the food but the place was busy at the time and the food was definitely worth the wait. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the interior of the place itself is actually very modern looking, which was lovely. Including the toilets which were actually quite clean.Definitely would recommend this place to try if you haven't already.

Please donāt ever come here!Would give 0 stars if i couldā¦We wanted to enjoy the sunny day today and have a drink and some lunch meal at the flower pot. We havenāt been here for a long time since our past experiences were a little disappointing however they have got some nice outside space so we thought we give it a shot one last time.Arrived, staff was unfriendly (nothing has changed much) then we ordered some drinks and food for outside. Fish and chips was HORRIBLE!! Half of the fish and chips was just batter, my partners veggies all overcooked and not just not a nice meal at all.All of this can happen, however The worst experience was: I went inside to speak to staff about it and complain about the food, bar manager and Glen (pub manager, met him years ago) were rude, didnāt even bother about the complaint; on the opposite they just blamed it on the Robinson brewery, said āthis is the way we have to cook food so got nothing to do with us, if you have a problem, complain to them - itās Robinsonsā. I strongly disagreed since this is the pub we visited, surely one of them would take ownership? Nothing, paid 27Ā£ for absolute horrible meals, no understanding from management - the opposite and I quite shocking quote; if you donāt like it, donāt eat here! - thanks we will definitely never come back here and spread the word about the horrible service and experience.

Large Robinsons pub in Macclesfield. Went for lunch. Friendly welcome, comfortable, very good menu with wide choice. Everything from bar snacks to 3 course meals. Good range of beers. Realistic prices for the good quality food. We had 4 really good lunches with drinks for £80.

Great pub but not so great food. Ordered a steak medium rare and got a chewy medium well done steak. However the pub itself is lovely even though it is missing an atmosphere.

The room is lovely, though I wasn't sure if the person who served us, a young man, worked there or was a customer. He was very scruffy dressed, wearing a fleece jacket , open necked shirt and no tie. The food was OK, though the portion of fish and chips was just about enough for a ten year old. The cost of the food , on the whole, was very expensive. We regularly eat at another place in Macclesfield where large fish and chips are half the price. On average each meal we had, which included 3 fish meals, cost £16.66.In conclusion I will not be coming again.

Very nice, fresh appearing pub, since it had it's refit/facelift early 2020. Good selection on the menu, and the fish and chip special on Tuesdays is clearly popular as the place was packed out - on a Tuesday!Fish all piping hot and clearly battered to order, was all very nice.Driven passed many times but this was my first visit. Will definitely be returning.
