Charming 19th-century country pub with a menu of seasonal British food, log fires and a rustic feel.

Popped here at lunchtime 12 noon. Sat near the open fire because dog friendly in all the bar area. Friendly waitress and efficient. 2 burgers were very tasty and worth the money. Will pop in again if passing

Met some friends here today for lunch as I've never been before. What a fabulous pub in the Cheshire countryside with lovely open viewsThe inside is fabulous with open fires and old fixtures everywhere. The staff were fantastic, friendly & helpful, they have a great menu with lots of choice at very reasonable prices.I had a chicken kebab with rice & it was delicious as it was cooked so well & my 2 friends had the burger which was equally as good, with chunky chips. We were all full & very satisfied 😃Will definitely return here to try something else.

Food is pretty good most of the time and not overpriced, coupled with a very pleasant atmosphere. However, we've been 4 times now and every time the service has been unbelievably slow, one was a but rude too and clearly couldnt be bothered and having to ask them to take our orders and for more drinks even when the restaurant is virtually empty.

Went to The Frozen Mop for a birthday lunch with my husband and stepson. I had the steak sandwich and fries. I’ve got to say it was the nicest steak sandwich I’ve ever had. The steak was so soft, tender and tasty, I will definitely have that again next time I go!

Not great today. Seriously over booked. Couldn't cope with numbers. 1.5hrs for food. Then only lukewarm. Lacked vegetables only to be told they were running short. Staff were as helpful as possible and very apologetic and they did give 20% off bill, but poor today sorry to say!

Chanced upon this pub, which looks great on the outside, about a week ago, in search of some lunch, decent beer & a coffee (me). Practically deserted, with only a couple of chaps propping up the bar inside. Dingy interior & my request for a coffee could not be met, since the machine was broken. We left, concluding that the place must be under new management or they no longer served food after 1.30pm. The Dun Cow however, when we arrived, was rammed with an overflowing car park & some appetising aromas in the air.

What's not to love about this great gastro pub. Awesome staff great food and lovely lovely beer. They didn't even mind me and my mate walking around as mammals

Friendly local country pub with great beer, comfortable chairs and next to a lovely warm fire as well. A great pub.

A very cosy place to grab a bite to eat in, such a peaceful area. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. If you sit next to one of the fires, it’s even better!

First visit to this really friendly and comfortable bar/restaurant. A treat from my daughter for Fathers day. I knew from the moment I sat down I would want to visit again. My daughter had been before & she asked when was the last time I had a traditional Sunday lunch.....wow ! I'm glad I followed her lead ...They even had my favourite pint Timothy Taylors Landlord.....the food was cooked to perfection and the starters were imaginative too. The Frozen mop is in an idyllic setting and its a definite favourite for me as well as my daughter. The Yorkshire pudding is the biggest I've ever encountered 😊
