Don't eat here unless your not hungry. Service non exsistant, asked if I was OK to eat my ice cream with a fork because the waiter forgot the spoon. Got the order wrong for us and the table next to us. Not offered sweet menu. Dirty crockery. it was so bad it was funny. Faulty towers style. What a shame because the place is beautiful

Super friendly staff! The two girls serving did extremely well! Food was delicious and playlist was spot on! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family

Firstly, the interior is divine!We went for drinks, tried to book because there was 10 of us but was told we didn’t need to. When we moved inside we were met with a very hostile girl behind the bar. We were pointed to a table for 6, no good, tried to move to another larger table but were told they ‘needed to keep it clear’ no explanation as to why. Comments were made from the barmaid each time one of us ordered drinks ‘I’ve not had 5 minutes tonight’ and ‘some people need to slow down’ extremely rude!! Unfortunately we were interrupting her chats with her mate who was propping the bar up! She was also extremely rude to one of the younger staff members, completely uncalled for! As busy mums we were hoping to make it a regular Thursday visit as we are all local but unfortunately we won’t be returning.Your venue has so much potential with the right staffing!

Nice friendly hotel with amazing interior. Room was a little small / cramped. The only down side to our stay was that we had to ask on 2 occasions it they could turn the outside garden speaker off 10:30pm. The speaker was right next to our room window and we had a flight at 3am.

Wow! A fabulous hotel with extra attentive staff. We were guests at a wedding and stayed over, from start to finish it was amazing. Great room, comfy bed, the staff couldn't do enough for you. An absolute credit to John Willie lees.

The Stanneylands hotel is well kept and has excellent modern interior design. It was nice and open and the food and drink was exceptional! Complements to the chef because it really was that good. However the service was unacceptable. While I waited for my partner to return from the bar she arrived clutching two glasses, an ice bucket with a bottle of champagne and her purse. We paid £49 for this and although it was quiet no help was offered. Staff were just hanging around and to use the word lackadaisical would be an understatement. The room we stayed in was a deluxe double and the décor was really nice and we slept in a big and comfortable bed. Unfortunately the bathroom was really small and the water pressure in the shower was clearly struggling. Our stay was good and we enjoyed ourselves but there are just a few minor issues that need to be sorted in my opinion. Especially the bar staff!

Just returned from eating a Sunday roast dinner platter which was absolutely delicious (I wrote a long review but it seems to have disappeared...grrr). A hidden gem in my opinion! Only popped in for a girlie drink and chat the other day and realised it had all been refurbished and they did Sunday lunch, so booked it online for me and my husband❤️We weren't disappointed:Welcoming✔️Service✔️Attentive staff✔️Friendly staff✔️Delicious food✔️Drinks + water ✔️Reasonable price✔️Will come again✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️

What a lovely lunch I had here last Wednesday! Beautiful seating by a window. Fabulously helpful staff and a winner of a menu.I had the home made pie,my husband had the divine calves liver,and our son had a chicken & bacon baguette, served with lots of fries.Very reasonable prices.Can't wait to repeat the visit!Big shout out to Mitchell and Paul. A credit to Stanneylands.

We stayed here as part of our wedding day at styal lodge. We were very impressed with how helpful and accommodating the staff were. Our suite was lovely and the breakfast was great plenty of choices.Thank you again and we look forward to staying again.
