From Seonaid inviting us to our table, and the ambiance of a Grade 1 listed building, the scene was set for the Perfect Sunday lunch....... and it did not fail!! Everything on the plate was Stunning and of top quality! We had both the Lamb and Pork and both were absolutely delicious! They even had Pigs in Blankets!! The service was 1st Class and as you look out over the front gardens, the place has to be experienced. Thank You Old Hall, and WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK!!

So we had a large gathering here to celebrate a recent wedding. It’s a beautiful place and a lovely venue to cater for a big group with lots of different dietary needs. So we sit down, and me and my partner have a small very well behaved dog with us that you can barely notice he is there most of the time. One of the waitresses then spots the dog and in a very unfriendly standoffish manner says we can’t have him in this part of the pub. I was obviously taken aback by the rudeness, there was about 12 of us so obviously going to pay a big bill at the end so you would think they’d have been less rude. They agree he can stay but has to stay off the seats. That is completely fine of course. So we order the vegan roast, comes with a nut roast, butternut squash purée, gravy, hassle back potatoes and greens, made up of cabbage and green beans. The nut roast was huge and really flavourless. The purée looked glossy and lovely but at the expense of it tasting like xanthan gum and not much else. The greens where cold, raw and unseasoned. The potato’s where really bland, not having roast potatoes on a roast makes me sad. The gravy was tasty but needed to order another jug as there was minimal. We where asked if we wanted dessert and then where told there was no vegan option apart from the usual sorbet cop out. Disappointing for a vegan, going off the look of the place and menu descriptions my expectations where not met.

It was absolutely amazing the food was fantastic and service brilliant I was taken there by my son and daughter in law for a Mother's day meal I have never been there before but the building itself is beautiful in fact everything about the place was lovely I would highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be going again. When we left and the building was all lit up it looked magical a beautiful Black and white period property. What more can I say

Gorgeous place with lovely lovely staff, everyone was kind and so helpful. Super welcoming to my very anxious pup too. The fish and chips were outstanding. Especially the chips! The pate was rather bland but everything else was great.

Food generally was quite good but like most places they seem to be short of staff so service was very slow and it wasn't full. Some portion sizes especially the starters were disappointingly small for the price and prices are pushing up (probably everywhere) presumably due to inflation and to enable staff recruitment so expect to pay around £30 per head with a drink for 3 courses. Not excessive for an evening out but it depends what you're used to and prepared to pay.

Lovely place, lovely food and lovely kind staff. I went for some food today and had a lovely meal but for me personally it was the way the staff went above and beyond to help me with my car troubles that has made me want to write this review and sing their praises. I sadly didn't get any names but the two men who helped me were so kind and spent their time trying to help fix my car so I could manage to drive it back home on the motorway and for that I am so immensely grateful. Thank you so much for all your help and I managed to get home safe!

The Old Hall is in the CAMRA beer guide for the excellent real ale. It is an exceptional old building oozing character. The beer was great and the service was super. I had a couple of pints of the Brunning & Price house beer: brewed by St Austell I think. It was very busy on a Saturday lunch and we were lucky to get food without a booking. £15 to £20 for a main but high quality. Roaring fire and really smart toilets. Great staff.

Called on the way home from Cornwall to Wilmslow and what a place❤️ Even if you only pop in for a drink a trip to the toilets is like a visit to a country estate 😃It's a shame they no longer provide B&B as I'd love to stay overnight! We booked online due to Covid as couldn't get an answer by phone. Everything was very well organised for safety and the dog was welcome.I only had a starter of pate as I wasn't very hungry but it was exceptionally delish. My husband had a Thai chicken salad which he absolutely loved.Service was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even brought our dog a bowl of water without us asking!I'd love to make a special trip out and come here again.Highly recommend ☺️

Beautiful place, lovely staff and amazing food. Couldn't fault them on a single thing. Even the parking and toilets are brilliant. We came for a visit two years ago and hoped it would be just as good, if possible it was better!
