Waited over 30 mins for the food.Crispy chicken wrap - what is "house slaw"? I got my food and I noticed nothing resembled coldslaw on the wrap. Gave plate back mentioned it and said it was sorted when it returned, it was the same! The second staff member explained how the chili jelly and house slaw were all mixed together... Then later provided a separate portion of coldslaw.Didn't seem convincing.Saying that the 'slaw' was just mixed in with the jelly on the wrap.. there was barely anything on the wrap except the jelly and a few bits of chicken/salad.Used to have the pulled pork wrap which came with real coldslaw (missed off one order once too) but this doesn't exist anymore.Emailed ember inns who are investigating.

Came in for lunch with my mum. The food was great. Staff were very friendly and provided and a quick service. Will definitely be returning

Nice and comfortable place but food not to good well over cooked and dry I had hunter's chicken dry and slightly burnt cheese was like a crust and no bacon unfortunately won't be dinning there again Gray

Food was cheap but a bit meh. Chicken was burnt and dry, with oven chips. Could do better.

Great value for money and good atmosphere. Couple of the side dishes were slightly cold but overall recommended

Staff are great, food & drinks are amazing! Top pub really friendly atmosphere. We go every Thursday and the staff take care of us really well.

We pop in here for a drink to break the journey every few weeks on our way back to Preston after visiting my sister in The Midlands.Out of all the places we have tried, this is by far the nicest.It is always clean and bright,a good choice of drinks very reasonably priced.We haven't eaten there yet but have seen loads of food passing by that looks very tempting, so much so we are planning to have a meal there in a few weeks .There is always a member of staff to greet you,say bye when you are leaving,these little touches mean alot.Just wish we lived a bit closer as this would definitely be our local!!!

I don’t like to post negative reviews in the face of lockdowns and subsequent impact to local business. However after a family visit on Sunday I would like to give my feedback to the manager James and the cook. This was the worst Sunday lunch I’ve had on par with a microwave meal. The manager broke the 25 challenge rules by serving my son aged 27 two pints and a meal with no Age identification and then decided to refuse purchase of another alcoholic drink.I would never go back to this pub to eat. We have had far superior Sunday lunch take outs and dine in without a jumped up manager who disappears when challenged. This was once a decent casual pub grub eatery however standards have dropped.

Nice pub, great food and service... Fixed price set menu excellent value for money. Will be back.

Absolutely love this place, from the small course sandwiches to the main dinners, the food is tasty and well presented. The staff are very nice and accommodating. It is one of my favourite places to eat in Cheshire. Dog friendly is a bonus!
