The Hidden GemThe staff are very friendly, this has become our local place for business meetings, and the meeting point for rewarding our staff. The place has been refurbished to a high standard, and now offers over 30 seats in the orangery and snug outside. The food is always excellent, and we are always pleasantly surprised with the results. We have been made to feel welcome as if we are locals, to the extent we all feel like part of the family. The management of the entire business is exceptional, the establishment is always exceptionally clean. You can tell all staff put their hearts and souls into making every attendance special, well worth a trip, the steak especially it melts in your mouth.Thank you guys we will be seeing you again soonThe datateams boys

We had a great meal here! Probably the best roast beef dinner I've had in years - my wife thought the same. Looked too good to waste time taking photos, so got stuck right in, but managed a snap of the desserts, which were also good. Kids meals high quality as well - clearly cooked from scratch, no microwave fish fingers here!Friendly staff, nice wee outside area with covered and open sections. What's not to love!

The Bears Paw, originally a 17th century farmhouse with a not so common name and who’s origin comes in many forms, a type of Snow-Shoe, the shell of an East Indian Clam, a soup (which is outlawed in many countries) or a type of popular pastry, with the latter being more apt for this lovely British Inn pub cum restaurant.Though this is my first visit my foodie partner for the evening is well acquainted with both Knutsford and The Bear Paw, which is surprising to some as she lives on the south coast. We could have opted for the lovely setting of the courtyard, but as evening approached the cooler breeze was building a tad too much. So inside and the lovely ambiance awaited us as did the staff. I have to say we were greeted with lovely warm smiles and assistance, now whether this was due to the recognition of my partner I wasn’t too sure, until a another customer came in shortly after and was given the same treatment. That’s nice and what a lovely way to start the evening.Drinks: Zinfandel Rose (bottle)Starter:Rosemary breaded Camembert*Duck Spring rollMain:Whole Tail Scampi*Gammon SteakDessert:Belgian Waffle*Bread and Butter PuddingAfter dinner drinks:Gin and Orange, Water (I was driving)* Dining partnerWe both agreed that both the service and the food could be not faulted, and I would certainly enjoy giving this place another visit.

Lunch with friends, always great food, well served, pleasant staff. One of my local favourites, l had chicken curry, served with rice, two friends sea bass, one other, the duck. We ate everything and thoroughly enjoyed.

Me and my family stopped here on the way home down the M6 looking for some nice lunch. I knew we'd found a good place the minute I walked in and was warmly greeted by two members of staff. We sat outside in the courtyard and it was perfect with the sun out! We all loved the food we had. The warm duck salad was superb! Very reasonable prices too. All the staff are friendly and attentive. I even got to chat to the chef who was glad to hear the good feedback.I'll be making sure I pop in again the next time I'm travelling up north!

Fab pub, the food is amazing (way better than your average pub food and everything tastes so fresh), they also do great cocktails! The outside area is great as they allow dogs and it’s heated.

Been here a couple of times, and even though it's a fair way to travel, chose to come here today for a 43rd Anniversary lunch with my wife.Didn't disappoint, great food and lovelystaff.Just a pity we had a loud windbag on the table behind who never shut up once and, in these difficult times, made some bigoted and insensitive comments about refugees.

Lovely country pub. We were looking for something in the area and suddenly came across it on the way as the postcode took the satnav about 200m up. We were sat in the snug which is a cosy little room with a few tables. Food was very good, we both had a cheese starter, a burger and a pie of the day. Couldn’t fault either meals, delicious and piping hot, just what was needed on a cold winters night.

Had a wonderful experience here. This pub has a great atmosphere. The staff are really lovely and polite. There is a great outdoor (covered) area to sit which is lit and filled with heaters. Really recommend dropping in here if passing. I didn’t eat here but I’ve also been told the food is top notch.

An absolute joy of a pub and well worth going for their Sunday Roast. The pub isn't far from the Lymm exit of the M6 and has an outdoor eating area, parking and all the trimmings of a gastropub inside (though I find the decor a little dated). The value of the roast is outstanding and it's rare that you get beef that is this tender. Food wise, it's homely and hearty. The soup was nice and creamy. Roast wise, I've mentioned the meat and feel the broccoli also needs praise. My only marks against were a Yorkshire pudding that I wish were bigger (as always) and a gravy that's a little watery for me. Desserts were fantastic with a perfect custard. There's also a lovely Bears Paw pale ale beer that I wish I could buy a few bottles of but sadly is made specially for the pub. Definitely would come again.
