Good pool , great cafe. a nice local leisure centre

Lack of ventilation near swimming pool windows creates a very stuffy environment where germs can spread.

Generally fine. Pool Temperature has been dropped a little over the last few weeks, will come back with five stars if you warm the pool up a bit

Very safe. If you go there for classes the machines and equipment is cleaned by the members when they finish using it and then again by members of the staff who come straight away after the class to moped the floors too. They all wear masks.

Workers have worked very hard to reopen centre. Linsey is brilliant at first kettle excercise. She is amazingly helpful. Gym staff very good. Gym much better now with covid restrictions as laid over two rooms. Glad to be back thanks every one for all hard work.

Pool is freezing for little ones! I’ve been to so many swimming pools in my life time but never have I ever been to one this cold and dirty! I have a toddler that I took to Hazel Grove leisure centre all the time (which is much better!) but thought try Wilmslow as on my doorstep....never again! My poor son cried it was so cold, the English channel is warmer! I remember as a kid my mum never taking me there and now I know why..rubbish then, rubbish now and still looks the same so never been decorated or cleaned in 30yrs!

Staff are great - I think they are stretched and don't always answer the phone but hey - why do you need to call them ?Reviewers on here are very over critical - not sure what they are expecting.I've been to more expensive gyms and they may be slightly more up to date but is that worth 3-4 times the price ?The reviews put me off going but now I've tried it I'm a regular - does everything you need it to do

I think the one star reviews are a bit harsh. The staff are always really friendly and they pretty much have everything you need. Yes it would be nice if it was all a bit more updated, notably the changing rooms - and personally would love a sauna / steam room - but it’s half the price for a monthly membership than other places with those kind of facilities so I think some people’s expectations are a little bit unbalanced. They recently updated the gym which was done well. The extra space for more functional fitness would benefit from air conditioning eventually as it can get a bit too hot in there at times. And I really think they could choose something more appropriate than Bargain Hunt on the TV!I’ve not done any of the fitness classes in a while but they have a decent choice, I used to do circuits which was good.We often hire the sports hall for playing football or badminton with work colleagues, and they have some squash courts too if that’s what you’re interested in. I also sometimes use their 25 metre pool which is totally fine.So don’t let all the grumpy one stars put you off, it’s really not that bad!

I would not give one star for this review but it's not possible to submit without any stars. We took our two grandchildren for the 10-11am Parents and Tots session as indicated on their website. On arrival the pool staff didn't seem to know anything about it. They kindly tipped some toys into the small pool. Several other families arrived for the same session shortly afterwards. The water was not very warm for a babies and there were broken tiles around the pool. The changing rooms are disgusting, they look like they were last refurbished in the 1960's. There was no soap to wash hands neither in the gents nor ladies. I needed to wash my toddlers hands urgently as he had put his hand in the urinal!! We reported this and was told that the cleaners would be bringing some one day this week!!! It was clear from the dried up dispensers that they had been empty for quite a long time.We will not be returning to Wilmslow Leisure Centre unless there is a vast improvement.

Need to revamp the changing rooms and clean them more often. Staff is nice but usually not well informed (about opening hours, classes, terms of membership). If you are not a person with flexible work hours, or non working parent with little kid the swimming pool facility is almost impossible to use, especially that it is not swimmers friendly (most of the time 1 line for swimmers, rest for kids, or school classes, or club time- with no access for a public). Mothers with kids in changing room walking back and again in dirty shoes, sometimes with boys at least 12 years old, and without even courtesy to use the special trash bins for dirty, smelly nappies- so all changing room smells of poo. Swimming pool is ALWAYS closed on Public Holidays- which is a time when people have actually time to use facilities. the only really good thing is location.
