Very friendly pub that has a fantastic renovation in the last 18 months or so. Great canal side seating area for the warmer days and the perfect pit stop when on a canal walk.Good food options, including one or two items for vegans, and always good portion sizes.

Great pub serving well kept Robinsons Ales. Dizzy Blonde is my favourite tipple and its first class. Great friendly Landlord, Malcolm, and staff. Right next to the Canal with a beer garden looking over lock 43. Food is well priced and great quality. Give it a go if your passing!

Called down for a Sunday dinner and it really didn’t disappoint. All the food was lovely and good portions. Also very accommodating to my two year son, which was lovely. Definitely recommend

Brilliant food, great atmosphere and the refurb looks lovely. Friendly and welcoming ...did I mention the food...it's all lovely home cooked grub and plenty of it.

The staff need lessons on how to communicate with the public as well as how to take food orders. It absolutely unacceptable behaviour to argue with some and tell them they did not order something when they have been charged for it, the then proceed to make no effort to rectify there mistake, just bring them a refund.Will never return here.

Currently sat here right now enjoying a very nice well portioned out meal very filling. Sanitizer on entry into pub,all tables are spaced out. Very friendly staff.

we’re just going to come for a drink. But soon decided it was worth having dinner. Not disappointed generous portions of fine traditional pub food. Beer was excellent also. Google photos need up dating

Lovely meal, good portion and quality food with lovely homemade chips, beautiful area to sit outside with canal next to it.... HOWEVER... the menu prices online on the website are NOT the actual price... The menu states alot of the meals are £5, i.e gammon and chips, burger, cod and chips etc but this is not the case. When the bar lady told us the price after ordering I was abit shocked, thinking it would have cost £10 before ordering but when asking for the money she actually asked for just over £25. This is a BIG difference. We mentioned that the menu on their website does not state this, and she said she would get it sorted as they're no longer doing them meals at that price, the other bar lady knew. This should be a priority to sort or meals should be given at the advertised price?The place is lovely with a beautiful outside area, food is lovely and the waiting staff are helpful and friendly... I've had to knock a star for the misleading information on their website though... That being said, will probably be back.... Just sort the website out😊
