Lovely hotel food was brilliant rooms were very comfortable and relaxing.

Very nice on food and room. Locals helped me with local directions and were very friendly. Not really in Tarporley about 5 miles to the centre. But otherwise all OK.

Stayed overnight and had lovely meal ..hotel is stunningly done out

What can I say . What an absolute gem of a pub . Food is fantastic and the staff are great . This place also has roos which are absolutely stunning. A great place to stay,eat and relax.

Lovely one night stay, we were greeted at reception by the manager, who checked us in and showed us to our room. Lovely big clean room. Was later showed to the bar by the manager, then to our table for evening meal by the manager. He also waited on tables and was there to take orders for breakfast and bring it to our table. Had a family get together on Saturday night in the King Arthur room for a 50th and 60th Birthday. Many thanks to Andrew and his team for the excellent food and service. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a private room for a small gathering 😃

The team were extremely helpful and accommodating in organising a birthday party for a “big birthday”. The catering was excellent, atmosphere just right, and they were very helpful in sorting out accommodating for friends and family who had travelled further afield. Happy memories for the family, all down to the team at The Royal Oak - thankyou all 🙂

The staff were very welcoming. The room comfortable and warm after turning the heating on. My only downfall was no TV remote in the room. Yet I was too tired to ask for one anyway. All in all a comfy night's sleep. Large car park at the rear of the building.

The pub was OK and the food was good, but the hotel was disappointing. The bathroom was fine, the room average, but the stuff was not helpful at all. There was an awful sewage smell that made staying imposible, and we had to leave.They could not offer another room, just fans to use with the windows closed, which only would remove the odour that got inside the room. We didn't like their 'solution' and agreed on a refund with the manager. Days later they refused to give our money back as agreed, saying it was not a hotel problem. I am not sure what was worse, having to leave the room in the night or not being told the truth about the refund. As customer I expected much more, I've formally complaint and am still waiting to get that refund.
