The Food was nice & the staff were very pleasant.

If I could give Zero stars I would, dont bother wasting your money on half a glass of prosecco and some dry chicken, we came when it had just opened after the refurb and it was lovely! Today we had horrible service and even worse food, avoid at all costs.

Excellent gammon with BOTH egg and pineapple without extra charges. Very generous portions. Scampi excellent too. Can't fault it. Will be back. Good service.

Great food in a very nice atmosphere. A historic pub well worth visiting.

We used to frequent The Smoker until it closed down last year. Now, under new management, things are however rather disappointing.We've been back twice since its reopening and on both occasions the food was not great, ranging from dry burgers and overcooked steak, to undercooked chips and very undercooked, tepid vegetables.Worst of all, the toilets are dirty. This to me is normally a sign to walk away from a restaurant or pub; if they can't even keep their public areas clean, then there's no telling what goes on in the kitchen.

Paula and I just back from tea at The Smoker. Excellent meal and service in the newly refurbished pub. Now dog friendly so we will be back soon. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed that everything was rushed.Not given time after our main before they were asking us what we wanted for dessert.Didn't even ask for it but the bill was plonked down and the waiter was there with hiscard reader.The food was nice but give us time to chat and dine. No one was booked in after us so whyrush. I know that the kitchen will close at a certain time but surely the bar doesn't close early.

Tried the gammon, good choice , fresh pineapple and beautiful egg , enjoyed the whole ambiance of the pub/ restaurant. Good craft beers , will return soon.

The Smoker looks great after the recent renovation, but still retains its quaint, welcoming old coach House feel.The menu was superb. We each had something from the specials board, mine was chicken with potato cakes, topped with a mustard sauce. The food was excellent value, well presented and was really tasty.The staff were very accommodating and friendly, great beer selection. I'd recommend the smoker to anyone wanting a meal out with friends or family.
