The Swan in Cheshire East

High quality food in a Cheshire country pub. The prices here are a bit higher than a mainstream pub/restaurant but I think are very good value. They specialise in fish dishes, I had hake which was really good. Dogs are allowed in the bar area- which I think I prefer anyway as it has a more pub atmosphere. Many good walks in the area for before or afterwards

Incredible is probably the word I’d use to describe the quality of food served here!, to say it’s so far from the sea the seafood menu is amazing!We booked to visit at 4pm on Easter Saturday with my parents and the dog, we went mid hike so we were all in walking gear which I worried would be a bit underdressed for such a nice restaurant but there were others in there wearing the same attire at that time and we all felt comfortable, the staff were attentive and very friendly and took the time to explain about different items on the menu.I opted for one of the starters which had caught my eye and worried it might not have been enough, the baked smoked haddock with cheesy sauce with the truffle and Parmesan chips was more than adequate!, my husband had the hake with langoustine bisque, my mum had the trio of fish and my stepdad had the wagu burger, all dishes were cooked beautifully with quality ingredientsThe bill for all of the food including two desserts and and 7 drinks was £126 which for the quality of food we thought was very reasonable!…can’t wait to go back and try more things on the menu!

The Swan never disappoints. The food was wonderful, as always and great service with plenty of smiles and not overbearing. A brilliant evening.

Great steak enjoyed here, cooked to perfection.....topped off the meal with apple and blackberry crumble smothered in custard....doesn't get much better than this....

Loved everything about it. The ambience, welcoming friendly staff, a real fire to warm chilly patrons, the smart, glass roof dining room and a really interesting menu. Well done and thank you to the chef.. the food was delicious

Am amazing experience. Went for our daughters birthday with a toddler in tow. Staff made a lovely fuss of babe and birthday girl and food was off the chart beautifully cooked and presented.

Lovely little pub In the heart of kettleshulme. Bar staff are very friendly as are the locals. Good range of beers on offer and the restaurant smelt amazing

Simple but delicious menu. Lovely staff and only a small number of tables making it a really cosy atmosphere. Food was beautiful.

Very good food although a bit pricey for pub grub , but maybe there is enough market in the area for a restaurant type menu and cuisine. Bit disappointed they only had keg beer and bottles as I would have thought a couple of cask real ales would be the staple of an english country pub.

Called in here for a bit of lunch today, never been in before. Me n the wife sat down for a couple of steak sandwiches and chips…… OMG……. It was the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had I’m not kidding. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but when it came it was an actual full steak and we’ll worth the money. Staff and coffee excellent also.
