Delicious food and a delightful menu. So many pubs simply follow a formula with their menus, not The Swan. So many interesting dishes feature on their menu eg. The game suet pudding and the sticky pork cheek in the photos. They were perfectly cooked. To top it all the staff were efficient but warm and welcoming. Lovely ambience on a cold wintry day. Top marks!

Absolutely love this pub; the food, service and staff are all excellent and there's just such a great atmosphere. We were fortunate to have dinner outside on a sunny evening and had a fabulous evening. Will definitely return when we're next in the area. Well done everyone, you're doing a great job and thank you 👌❤️

Nice pub, great surroundings, but the food was not very good, and it was pricey for what you got. Starters were none existent, nibbles were the 'new starters' nothing traditional 'Main menu' is a daily sheet, that changes daily,so you cant look up the menu online.A small portion of Caesar salad was £9.00/£16.00 for a full portion. The beer battered haddock was mostly batter, the chunky chips were very good, homemade tarter sauce also very good, garden pea's were just that 'garden pea's,'and at £16 it was not worth it.The sweet was £7.50 each and they were not homemade, well the cheesecake certainly was not, it was a bit cut off a slab, probably from 'brake brothers'.The wine's were expensive to.The Cider was very good, and should be at £5.25 a pint. Not one of the better places l've been to.

Came early evening last Sunday after what must have been a very day for them. The staff were super friendly with great service. I had a roast pork sunday lunch which was excellent. My partner who is vegetarian asked for the same without the meat but with more vegetables and what came looked amazing with so many differently prepared veggies.Highly recommended 👍👍

From the get go, I was put off by the poor experiences from others on here. Oh, how I was wrong. The Swan is expensive. And very rightly so! The food was fresh, the plates were hot, and our three steak burgers were towers of juiciness. Completely fantastic in every single way. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful. Kaitlyn and Chloe were bubbly, welcoming, and attentive to our dining experience. The manager on shift yesterday at 19:45 is such a vibe!! I could tell that he is of a caring nature to his employees and diners. The Inn is an immaculately presented and caring place to eat. Many, many thanks and best wishes from Martin and Donna Pooley and myself along with Archie our dog.

Really nice pub, believe it’s great in the summer. It’s a shame the prices are like at a posh restaurant yet the food isn’t. No cocktails - only 3 sodas with spirts to choose from. Starters not great. Not a lot of choice when it comes to mains, I like to explore and try new food unfortunately the ones listed seemed very odd, it was safe to just have fish and chips. Camembert starter was good, maybe not exactly worth £15 tho!

I am so critical of food quality, menus , prices, the setting and the service when eating out. The Swan gets top marks for all categories. I am a fairly regular visitor as I only live 10 miles away. Sunday lunch was gorgeous the other day as usual. The food arrived 8 minutes after ordering, beautifully prepared and a picture on the plate. Every member of staff is so polite and pleasant. All in all a fabulous place that's well worth negotiating the narrow, muddy, country lanes to get to it. Congratulations Mr. Brunning .

Friendly and inviting staff make the experience all the more pleasant. Good menu with food served promptly and piping hot. Splendid selection of beers on tap and a varied range of wines and spirits also available. All moderately priced. Ample parking and free WiFi. Oh and very dog friendly!

Recommended by Cheshire Life a rainy day we ventured to Marbury. Started a walk around the meres not seeing anyone for 3hrs, bliss! The walk ended at the pub and we were greeted with sunshine and friendly staff, very accommodating for us and the pooch. The food was delicious and average price, we didn’t want to leave

Absolutely fantastic! Food perfectly executed and varied, excellent value considering the skill involved in some of the dishes. Service was some of the best we've experienced, considering the difficulty of wearing a mask continually extra praise deserved for the front of staff team. 100% will be returning, would be every week if you were closer to Shrewsbury.... Any plans to open up? Please. 10/10. Well played.
