Lovely pub, great staff, nice food awsome beer garden 👍😊

Gorgeous, friendly, welcoming pub. A hive for ramblers, dog walkers and families and bordering on the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. Walk behind the pub and stretch your legs on an amazing walk. Lots of benches aptly placed to have a little sit down and take in the breathtaking countryside. What a hidden gem this is.

A fantastic long established, spacious country pub. Well known as a wedding venue. Set next to the village church in a spacious car park, where classic cars meet and surrounded by tall conifers. Quality food and real ales. A lovely walk in the gardens behind which feature many local and imported trees.

Voted the best pub in Cheshire (or is it England?). Very large car oark; Laved Lavender field. Good food and atmosphere. There is also the Lovell Arboretum to have lovely walk round just behind.

Lovely place, food was fabulous and it's in such a lovely location ❤👍 definitely will be back

Sat outside, lovely venue and good service. We ate off the lunch menu (mainly fish sandwich and prawn Marie Rose sandwich) and all the plates were empty. We'll be coming back in the summer definitely, lots of space for the animals (kids and dogs 😂) to run and play too!

Definitely wouldn't recommend for food. Very poor service and overall experience. No reservation (thankfully we had our confirmation email) then it went down hill from there. Nice looking pub but wouldn't go back

We arranged to meet some friends here - sadly, at the last moment one of the couple tested positive for COVID. So we went on our own.It was nice and warm with log burners going strong. We had a table for two near the centre of the restaurant area - the place wasn't very busy so I guess we could have sat anywhere!Pleasant servers sorted drinks for us and we had a good look at the somewhat limited menu. We noticed both our knives had food residue and were quickly changed.I selected the Hunter's pie and my wife the chicken supreme - sadly, neither was available! My wife's second choice was seared salmon which was so well seared, my wife cut a good portion of the outside away as too burned to eat.My second choice was the burger. This had bacon as part of the sandwich but sadly the bacon was a bit fatty and not crisp. I asked for some barbecue sauce but this was not available. The meals were tasty but were not perfect. Our visit was at lunchtime on the Wednesday before New year so maybe this was a factor in our disappointing meal.Maybe if we visit again, things will be better.

Lovely Christmas lunch. I went with my Aunt and husband. We all went for the turkey dinner . . . we enjoyed a large, well cooked and nicely presented meal. The pub was fairly quiet obviously due to the crazy times we are living in but we sat at a table near the door that was well ventilated. The staff were very attentive.
