The Travellers Rest in Cheshire East

After booking for Sunday lunch, we arrived looking forward to a lovey dinner. This was not to be, frozen Yorkshire puddings a tablespoon of cabbage 7 pieces of carrots a small piece of cauliflower 4 small new potatoes and 1roast potato. The smallest piece of beef with a tiny 2nd piece. It was not nice, we shall not be going back sadly.We had to come home to have something to fill us up. Such very bad value for money?

Really good food and the staff are so pleasant and helpful.

It was alot different to when we went last time, nice enough dinner but you could tell the roasties etc were frozen

A lovely, clean, friendly pub, was made to feel very welcome by staff and customers, had entertainment on too, this is definately a pub I will be visiting again...

Good tasty traditional food. Normal menu and specials board. Called in for week day lunch after visiting local historic property, so don't know how busy in evenings but well worth a visit and also outside seating if nice weather.

Called in on the way past for Sunday lunch. Absolute rubbish. A few florets of frozen cauliflower, frozen yorkshire pudding, 4 tiny new potatoes, 2 tiny roast potatoes, thinly sliced carrots (at least they were cooked unlike the cauliflower), 2 small slices of pork and no apple sauce. I left there hungry and I'm a very small person with little appetite. Never again

Food was great, landlady and landlord were friendly. Lovely place. Will go again.
