Visited on Father's day, staff friendly enough and the place is lovely. However the Sunday lunch wasn't up to much the beef you could literally see through and there wasn't much veg either. The wife got 1 slice of wafer thin beef, I'm not sure if they were running short, but didn't feel as if we got value for the £18 on the meal, overall disappointed.

First visit here for me but my friend has been here numerous times. Lovely food and good choices on the menu. The chunky chips were fabulous. Pleasant atmosphere and staff very helpful. Lots of parking.

Myself and my partner called in for some lunch as we are staying at peckforton Castle, the bar man was in no rush to serve us even though he wasn't busy, he wasn't welcoming at all when we asked for the menu. Once we looked at the menu we went to thd bar to order he wasn't busy but just talking with a group of lads at the bar and left us waiting to be served,I ordered the hummus with flatbread it was tastless the hummus was like mushy peas with no flavour. It had more rocket on the top than flavour, u noticed there's a few comments on here about the hummus,.aye it needs removing from the menu,

Loved it here. Went for a family meal for mother's day and everyone enjoyed their food.Great gastropub at a good price. Fantastic service from the servers. Food came in good time and drinks were always flowing.Lots of parking outside.

Popped in for lunch, friendly staff, good food a nice variety from the normal pub menu, the classics are still there. The chips get a special mention from us all!. Thanks!

Nice place to have a drink & we were lucky with the weather. Beetroot risotto was really nice but the hummus & veg flatbread with brie wasn't good at all. Far too much hummus, barely any veg or brie. Think just a bad combo. Would go back to try something else from the menu.

Called in on the 30th of December.Good selection of lagers including Estella and Warsteiner. The food was delicious curried parsnip soup for starter. The burger and Cajun chicken burger were both lovely and tasty but I have to say the stand out for me were the chips which were big chunky proper home made chips that appeared to be possibly triple cooked and just might be the best chips I’ve ever had.The atmosphere was nice and relaxed with a nice roaring fire that was much appreciated as was the excellent service. We will definitely be be back.

Fantastic afternoon out. The food was fabulous, the staff were very accommodating, we were very well looked after. Nice open fire, dog friendly pub with GF Sunday dinner. We couldn't ask for more and will definitely be back.

In the picturesque village of Bunbury, you can find fine wines, traditional beers, and quality home cooked food, in this beatiful village pub called The Yew Tree. It is the favourite place among the locals and a great place to spend an afternoon or evening in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The building is a 19th century free house.
