We stayed last weekend for one night to break a journey south and it was the perfect spot! The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming, our dinners in the pub and full English breakfasts were all delicious, and the hotel is in a peaceful country setting, surrounded by fields. Our room was warm, cosy and comfortable. We hope to be back!

Good menu, good Chefs, Dog friendly, brilliant environment.Pricing reasonable and competitive.Food perfect!Nice people, nice establishment, friendly, a good range of drinks.Parking available on the frontage and adjacent road.A nice natural place to eat, of Michelin Standard, without the accompanying price. The perfect eat, meeting place, to be yourself and enjoy a great meal.Having Chef'd and worked in hospitality - these guys and girls would have wrote the rule book!Genuinely Perfection!

We had Stilton mushrooms to start and they were a crowd pleaser. We moved on to the gammon and chips, again, we were not disappointed. Then cheese to finish, even though they don't do a cheese board, they were very accommodating. Overall, very pleased and would definitely go again next time we are passing.

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch in a nice friendly pub. Worth a visit and has accommodation too if you are travelling in the area. Jodrell Bank near by too.
