Not been here for some time and attended a funeral. They had a good room for the gathering and the food was good

Lovely traditional cosy pub. Beer prices are also good for the area and the cheese pie is fantastic. Owners and staff very welcoming too! Love it!

Nice old pub with good beers. Not that impressed with bar service. Got ignored by the bar staff and they served locals who came in well after me before I got to finish my long wait.

Have hardly been to a pub during these covid times, except for a couple of irresistible visits to the Rodney. One of my favourite pubs in UK, and local to boot. And Malcolm is often behind the bar, always welcoming.

Trust the Admiral to provide you with good beer and food. The cheese and onion pie ranks with any international cuisine in my opinion. They do pub food - it is not a "gastropub" (thank goodness). Friendly atmosphere and nautical decor.

Aggressive Unfriendly Service!Visited this pub two Friday afternoons in a row, October 2020. Upon entering we were greeted with an unfriendly and aggressive: “What do you want?” We wanted time to look at the drinks available on tap but on both occasions were pressured to get on and make a choice and sit down so the drinks could be hastily brought to our table. We were then asked if we were members of the same household (group of 3). Upon replying no we were aggressively told to separate and sit metres apart. If you want to feel like a valued guest do not visit this pub! Embarrassing unpleasant experience. We all agreed we will not visit again.
