Ye Olde Kings Head in Cheshire East

Called in late afternoon, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good range of drinks available plus the food was excellent. Recommended.

Good beer, good food, friendly service. I had scampi and chips and the scampi was delicious.There’s a new decking area being built where the carpark used to be but it’s not too out of walking distance from Macclesfield or the surrounding areas and is just off the canal so perfect place to stop if you’re out for a walk.Dogs very welcome.

Once again fantastic Sunday lunch service second to non staff mega busy but nothing to much trouble food fantastic and now mash with Sunday lunch as well as all the the extras inn a fantastic mash maker but that was on par ❤️

Modernised since I last visited, creating a great ambience, as it retains the olde world feel. Food is first class and the menu varied..so much to choose from. Staff who welcome you and are genuinely friendly. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Incredible food served at this pub. Compliments to the chef. I had the cod and my wife had the salmon and both were delicious. Clearly all homemade with care.

Excellent beer choice including local ales from Wincle brewery. Very friendly staff. A pleasure to visit this historic pub right by the Gurnett Aqueduct on the Macclesfield Canal

Had steak and ale pie last night. Gorgeous! Chips were really nice too and vegetables just right. The outdoor gazebos with heaters are a really good idea. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.

Canal Engineer, James Brindley, served his apprenticeship as a Millwright in a workshop few hundred yards away to the east beyond the canal aquaduct. The plaque is mounted over a garage door next to the white cottage but the workshop is the small stone building opposite

Very friendly local pub. Beautiful interior and great location by the canal. Small number of beers on tap but all the usual beers. Great open beer garden facing a quiet street, perfect for people watching in the sun. Their chips are also excellent.
