Visited for tea with the family, food was delicious, piping hot and steaks cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Will definately be recommending to friends.

My friend and I have come here on a Tuesday evening for a meal for a long time. We came On 5th April at 4.30 for our usual burger and a gin. Food took ages to come and we had to ask where ours were as 2 other tables who came after us were served before us. They then brought the food which was lukewarm , we were hungry so ate half anyway. The cheese looked plastic and hadn't melted on burger which shows the temperature of it. Hope this was a one off as we liked coming here , but we were disappointed. The menu has changed not as it was before.

First this review is for the food & not the bar staff.A special mention to Tash who was 5*, haviving great customer service skills & went the extra mile to make my wife a special non-alchoholic drink.THE FOODOrdered our meal & after 30mins sweing people who had ordered after us getting their meals went to enquired where it was, to be told it's on its way.Asked again after 45nins to be told that there was no order for our table & it must of been lost?An hour later the food came out my wife's sizzler wasn't sizzling (she was that hungry she accepted it) & my mixed grill arrived to be told by the waitress that it was incomplete & as the waitress put it on the table I noticed someone's hair on it. I refused my meal straight away & sent it back.I went to the bar & asked to see the duty manager to cancel my meal, who after listening to my complaint & checking with the kitchen refunded the cost of my meal.A real shame, to what should of been a relaxing meal out with my wife, who had not eaten for over 24hrs, due to a hospital procedure.

Been a couple of times to the Acorn and its always been a lovely place to eat. Food is great and the portion sizes are more than enough. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Food was really disappointing. My burger was burnt as was the bacon. Even the chips tasted burnt and covered in salt. My daughter couldn't cut the chicken fillet with her knife she had to use a steak knife. I've had some lovely family meals here but I won't be back in a hurry... I was surprised it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon now I know why. Really gone down hill.

We visited first time and definitely not last time. Food and drinks are great value for money. Additionally, chilled atmosphere. We can only recommend this local pub. 10/10

Use the Acorn to meet a mate for a few pints. It's a good local with reasonably priced beer. Not tried the food but it looks standard affair for a chain pub when anything went past our tabled. Only sad thing is the lack of cask ales but the ice breaker is very nice

Food was excellent and staff were brilliant. We didn’t ask the managers name however, he was lovely from start to finish. 6/03/22

Having driven around an area I didn't know looking for a pub and to use the Wi-Fi I found this one, friendly, warm and the beer was good. I didn't eat there but I could see that the food looked good if somewhat standard for managed houses. I would recommend it, the staff were efficient.
