Lovely little tucked away cafe right next to the famous walls of Chester. Good coffee and friendly service.

Fantastic sunday breakfast 😋

Had Breakfast, Sunday morning, from the lovely welcome as I entered to the last bite the whole experience was fabulous. Staff where a delight, the food was amazing, best sausage I can remember and the bacon was the most tasty I’ve had in ages. I’m already booking a hotel for a return visit this weekend!

An enjoyable afternoon, apple pie and custard delicious. Husband loved his choc fudge cake and real whipped cream. Lovely ladies running cafe x

This is a hidden gem, behind the walls but well worth checking out. The food is cooked fresh to order with good quality ingredients plus they allow dogs. Nice friendly staff on the counter and in the kitchen, a much better breakfast option to eat here than precooked reheated food you find elsewhere in bakers etc. - thank you, will return again soon 😁

Clair is the most professional employer I have ever met.She employed my daughter for 2 years while she was at sixth form college & my daughter loved everything about working for her.The cafe food is freshly made & a really good price.I would recommend anyone to pop in there while in Chester & anyone looking for a place to work which is friendly & runs like clockwork to send a CV in.

I found my visit extremely awkward. We were served by a very pleasant young girl who, apparently, omitted to ask if I wanted salad and coleslaw with my sandwich. The lady in charge noticed this and spoke to the waitress in a very unpleasant manner in front of everyone in the cafe saying that she should have asked me. I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed for the waitress. I understand that staff need to be trained, but it should be in a subdued tone and certainly not in earshot of the customer. I hope this review makes the manager think twice about how she speaks to her staff

The below post from 'Helene' is an attempt by the owner of this business to hide honest reviews made by multiple people recently, particularly those relating to the bullying of a young employee who has been left with no choice but to resign.I personally witnessed one member of staff directly bullying and embarrassing a younger member of staff in front of customers. Other people have obviously witnessed this as well (see trip advisor). In response my wife, after airing her concerns, has received a number of accusations from the owner of the business accusing her of knowing the girl and the girls family and all of this despite initially offering a refund for the poor meal we paid for. The refund was then withheld; reason stated for this was because I reviewed her business based on my honest experience. This of course says it all.Making up reviews/asking people to review to deflect the truth is a low point for a business that is in denial. The food is poor, the atmosphere is tense and the bullying lady carries drinks round by the rim of the glass for some extra secure hygeine.

First class, excellent service.lovely location, great menu. The fish and chips are cut and battered on the premises, the batter is really light and crisp in texture with a marvellous flavour. The tea was brewed to perfection. All in all,a must on any walk around the walls.
