Charming restaurant, delicious food...allways a pleasure to eat here.Staff allways very pleasant and helpful.

The food was deep fried Asian wholesale stuff. The best you can say is that it was OK but not anywhere near worth the price. Find a good takeaway and you'll eat far better.

·

An old pub converted into a Thai restaurant. Food is nice, quite tasty curries. Quite authentic. I enjoy the yellow curry, the duck coriander, the papaya salad, and the prawn toast. Those are my go to orders. Staff is really nice, especially the owner, she's welcoming and has very good service mind

Best place in the world. My most favourite food. Always loverly and fresh. Can't believe the price you pay for such top quality food. Don't know how they do it. The staff are so nice and attentive. Love the Birch and Bottle.

This place is a traditional old country pub but the decor was stuck in 1970’s, vinyl seats, swirly artex, no atmosphere and nearly empty. The starters , spring rolls, tiny, finger sized but a good portion. The Thai fish cakes were presented as 6 little blini type pancakes, there was absolutely no hint of freshness or fish, very unpalatable. Vegetable tempura, was very nice and my husband had the samosas which again was very nice. Non of the starters seemed fresh, other than the Tempura I firmly believe they were not made on site. The main meals, son had chicken satay sticks, plentiful and tasty, he was happy. Other son crispy chicken, this was so salty I really didn’t want him eating it ( he’s 11) the chicken was so crispy it actually wasn’t there anymore . My husband had a vegetable curry which was tasty with plentiful vegetables. I had a beef red curry, the bowl was full but ingredients were minimal, maybe, 2 green beans cut into thirds, less than a fifth of a pepper, the beef virtually non existent , genuinely about a fifth/sixth of a normal sized sirloin steak cut up into tiny pieces. The rice was perfect and the sauce while very thick was very, very tasty. The nan bread was shop bought tiny and heated up in microwave where outsides were so hard could hardly be eaten. Saying this we did eat everything as we had starved all day and portions were small. We asked for a desert menu which was non existent the only desert on offer was a very poor quality ice cream. The wine,Merlot was very good quality. The bill came to just on £100 that was with only 2 alcoholic drinks and 4 soft drinks. My son asked for a coke but non was available other than diet. The whole place felt wrong it felt as though the landlord had gone to Thailand and picked up an unskilled chef from a poor region and returned to U.K. with him or her to cook in his pub. Again though I must say the staff were lovely. I’m really sorry this is my honest review and am saddened by what we found.

Absolutely Amazing staff and beautiful Authentic food. After reading reviews, I came across two very negative write ups on Chang Noi. I can tell you now Jan and her team are brilliant and have been very accommodating and reasonable in all our meals out here. No one should demand free food from a small business. Unfortunately you can’t please everyone! This place is amazing and a 10/10 for me.

Authentic Thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere...interesting! Service was excellent, food was delicious except Pad Thai smelt a bit funky, like a wet dog. Would definitely come back though!

After reading some good reviews on this place we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! Food is Absolutely delicious! and very authentic. We had different meals with chicken, beef and prawns and they were all superb. No chewy, oily or greasy. It was just lovely. Staff is friendly and attentive. And yes, like other people have mentioned, the place is not glamourous or fancy but it doesn't matter because you are here for the food which is fabulous. We'll definitely be returning to Chang Noi soon and recommend it to friends and family.
