Cheshire Grill in Cheshire West and Chester

This place was our favourite place for special occasions. Every time we have been there, we were genuinely speechless ... the food was outstanding every single time.On Saturday we have returned again and we have been made aware that there are new chefs.We have been very disappointed with the food, we don’t mind paying for quality food but spending £160 we would have expect the same standards what we have experienced before.We have ordered steak and the pan fried duck as well as few other dishes. The steak was chewy and completely burnt and cold, the pan fried duck meant to be pink but came well done. The onion Bhakti has charcoal. The plate didn’t have the same items on what the menu card stated.All dishes had lack of seasoning and most of them were cold.We have never ever questioned the price of the food anywhere because for quality we don’t mind paying but this time we felt that why pay £160 where we can get all this for about £90 at the local corner pub.We brought special guests from abroad so they can enjoy quality food but we have felt disappointed. This place has gone from a 5 star restaurant to standard pub grub. Please bring the old staff back.

Today Sarah, Seb, Jordan and Darren delivered an excellent meal for myself and my partner. The bubblegum daiquiri's made by Seb were delicious. The tomahawk steak prepared by Jordan and Darren were perfectly cooked. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and couldn't fault the table service, the meal, or the drinks. Fantastic work from the team on this Tuesday evening! Keep it up.

Absolutely outstanding friendly service. We dropped in last minute last night with our daughter. We were alotted a lovely booth straight away. It was busy because of the sunshine and bank holiday weekend. Never the less, the service from the waitress was fantastic. Very bubbly outgoing professional lady. The food was excellent and very good quality. The personal touch from all the team we spoke to was outstanding customer service. Something that seems to be lacking in lots of places now, certainly wasn't at Cheshire grill!!. We wont hesitate to visit again. Overall a lovely last minute evening out to a beautiful place 😍

Very nice steak and sides, with very good service. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the price is far higher than I would expect for the portion sizes, I have been to better Steak grills with better food at better prices.

Absolutely amazing food once again we live it here and come as often as we can. It has the most amazing steak iv ever tasted. Today the steak came a little more pink than we would have liked, however the staff immediately rectified this and gave us all fresh food and even some complimentary garlic bread with cheese. The staff were lovely and service was excellent cannot wait to go back. The fish cake starter was amazing too :-)

Came here for Valentines today and it was the worst food I have ever eaten. The soup came out and it was like dish water, it had separated and had this bubbly film on it. We had to send it back. We ordered 2 fillet steaks, they came completely burnt, dry and had an awful spicy coating on it, I wouldnt have taken it home for my dog it was that bad. We werent given steak knives, asked if we needed any sauces, nothing. We didnt dare attempt a pudding. I would have had a better meal in Spoons. What a waste of £80!

The food was amazing. I have never enjoyed a meal so much, in a long time. The portions are generous and staff are lovely. It was our Christmas do, and we chose it as the seating is well spaced out, and something more local than what we ha originally planned. I think the staff were a bit exasperated by us by the end of the night (there was drinking), but it was a thoroughly enjoyable night, and a nice atmosphere.

A⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Came here as a party of 5 for my sisters birthday! First time but certainly not the last. The service provided from our waitress Gabby was fantastic, in addition we had Amy waiting on us too! Nothing was too much for trouble for them. Faultless meal, faultless service. Food was amazing. Will be back. Thank you for a fantastic and unforgettable night. Absolutely love my new glass too! Really nice touch.
